As a conservative traditionalist, people don’t understand the dynamics of a gay person or what it means to be gay. It’s not something that was “forced..” lol. It’s obvious that these triplets grew up the same way, were offended the same things, and just overall lived very similar lives. Naturally, one turned out to be gay. It’s okay.. glad they have each other also because many can’t say the same

Especially when those of us that are gay don't care and are also ok with it!

Every week somebody says that on the Internet and every week somebody says what I'm getting ready to say… It is a big deal. Because so many people are discriminated against because this world is filled with far too many miserable racist homophobic assholes and THOSE miserable people are the ones that make everything bad. They make everything a big deal. And so much of it is based in childhood indoctrination into any given religion. If we get rid of religion and stop teaching kids to hate others then we would see a world where it wasn't a big deal. But we will never never never see that world sadly. I completely get what Chris is saying here. For a lot of people growing up gay, it's a stressful and exhausting experience, constantly navigating a minefield where we second guess everything we do in case it exposes us. We watch what we say, how we say it, who we say it for, how we stand, how we laugh, how we hold our bodies, what we express an interest in - literally everything. We aren't ourselves and spend our youths playing a muted version of ourselves, lying constantly and living in fear of giving the game away. For Nick, I can imagine this was even harder because he would be comparing himself to Matt and Chris in an effort to not stand out. Coming out is a massive thing and can, in most cases, remove or at least lessen the need to be constantly mindful of yourself. However, living like that for years, especially your formative years, has an impact and a lot of people never completely get over it. I personally don't think I have and I think it impacts how I live my life today. Chris and Matt both come across as incredibly supportive and the love the three of them have for each other is obvious. Nice to see.

*I think I kind of understand what Chris was implying. I mean, I had a guy best friend and we were close since we were 13. And since we were always together, people around us would tease us that we had something romantic going on or we would end up married to each other when the time came. But there was always something at the back of my head like, **_”No, that would never ever happen.”_** But then I would shake that thinking because I don’t want to judge him. I think we were already 26 when he confessed. I was being goofy and was teasing him to one of my girl friends. And he said to me, **_”I’m not into girls. I like your friend’s beauty, but that is because of the many make-up or hairstyles I’d like to do to her.”_** And the sigh of relief was for the both of us because he had no longer something to **_hide_** and I also no longer needed to decipher.* 😮💨 *I lost him to stomach cancer in 2019.
