less made of glass and more made of titanium, but puts his body through hell and beyond to defend the net so breaks anyway

If you're a D that engages in actual defending, getting into lanes, blocking shots, battling in front of the crease, and that type of stuff, you might actually run into some serious injuries over a long NHL career. Another way is to completely shy away from any type of contact and be a complete defensive liability and never get injured, like Keith Yandle, and earn an "iron man" reputation along the way. "Iron man" reputation 😅 🤪
