Here's my story in a few sentences as a testimony. I hope that someone reads it. As a child I went to church. Then as a teen I lost my faith because of alcohol and false friends. Some years later I realized that this kind of life sucks. I even started a trainee as a Bible Teacher. In the middle of it I got ill with a tumor in my head. I thought my life would be over now, but I survived the operation. After a few years of working I got a second tumor in my stomach. It was operated, too and again I survived. Unfortunally the tumor came back again and now doctors can't help me anymore. But, after all, I still believe in Jesus. You can loose everything you have, but he is there from the beginning of your life until eternity.

Right when the song started I just burst into tears. Never happened before. The past 2 weeks Worship songs have been making me tear up. I haven't cried about anything in many years. A few weeks ago I think the devil was attacking my thoughts, putting bad thoughts that would never cross my mind normally, in my head. I prayed to God about it and then the thoughts faded away each day. Lately I've been getting closer to God, (reading the bible much more often, listening to worship songs more often), which is why I think the devil is attacking my mind. About 6 days ago the worst thought that could of cross my mind did, "What is God isn't real","what if he doesn't exist." I've always believed in God, I was raised in a Christian family and was Baptized as a baby. Then in the Summer of 2011 after I graduated high school I took the next step and was baptized again. A couple months after that my dad's work schedule changed and we went to church a lot less. I think I got disconnected from God to some degree. I continued to pray every day but I didn't spend enough time with God. My dad can't work now b/c of effects of driving a truck for so long and now we've been making it to church every week. Which is when the bad thoughts started to occur. The fact that I had the thought doubting God really bothered me. After having those thoughts I continue to read the bible every day, Worship God through songs and pray to him. I hope these thoughts of doubt will stop and I can continue to become closer to God. So I guess the point in posting this is: Have any of you ever had doubts of God's existence? Is me suddenly crying during worship songs to God a sign of God's presence in me , or does it just mean i'm more connected to God? I would love to hear every one's thoughts or experiences with thoughts of doubt and crying during worship. Thanks

For me, the way I dispel that is to then ask myself "OK, if God doesn't exist, how do you explain the majesty of nature? How do you explain the intricacy of how the human body works? How do you explain the glory of the universe?" I always come up empty. There is no other answer other than "God *is* real". No other possible explanation suffices. I did something bad. I knew i shouldn't have done it but i did like i have so many time before. I felt bad so i started to listen to this music and as i was i felt this itching in my mind telling me to look at my bible. Go to Romans. I tried so desperately to hold it off but the urge kept getting stronger and stronger. Finally i did, and opened to romans chapter six. It turns out that it was just what i needed. "Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace ? Of course not ! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it ? " i always gave myself the excuse of god will forgive me, he gives countless second chances. Later on it says " When you were a slave to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. For the wages of death is sin, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our lord." How great is god!!! Before this I had never opened a bible at home! This is truly a blessing!!! This shows that sins power is broken

I never heard this song until last month when we sang it in choir at church during a holy hour of reflection before the Blessed Sacrament. We had another holy hour last week. One of our parish priests said we made him cry in our rendition. It really is a lovely and very moving song.

+Myron Yoder I have made this mistake as well... I do believe that if our hearts earnestly seek our Lord Jesus He will never turn away from us. Yes, we create the problem with our choice to sin - sin separates us from God, but just for a time. He will allow the sin to run it's course and wait for us to bring our transgressions back to the cross. And His perfect agape love will always cover us with His grace and forgiveness. This process will grant us the opportunity to grow in faith and our relationship with God the Father. This is precisely what He wants. For us to have a relationship with Him!
