For the people who don’t already know this, my drums are real drums. No triggers or samples are used at all in the production of this track, whether that be for replacing, layering or enhancing sounds in any way shape or form. Nothing is snapped to grid, and it was recorded in 1 take with no cuts, miming or pre-recorded audio/video. This is true for every song on my solo album 🤘🏻

The addition of the ghost notes at 4:08 is so insanely cool. It gives me goosebumps! It's not flashy or super technical but that's because I know that you knew it didn't have to be. It's just simple - and it's the EXACT thing that section needed for it to stand out in the way it does. I can't even fully describe why it's so perfect, but it is. It complements the ambient background guitar so well while maintaining the powerful drive (the "feel") of the overall rhythm. I'm not a drummer so my analysis might be lacking, but the point that I'm trying to make is that I love that section so much.
