Facts 💯 I went to see Webby in concert a few months back and got to talk to him for a few minutes in the parking lot afterwards....it's crazy cuz he was literally talking about Tom McDonald. I listen to Tom's music so my girl asked him what he thought about Tom and he said that since he got bigger and more famous he doesn't do as much for his fans and pretty much the same thing he said in this song and as much as I do like Tom's music for the most part, I 100% agree with Webby about pretty well everything he mentioned throughout this song. Shit is 🔥 one of the best rappers in the game for atleast the last Decade.

This dude was in my top 5 literally from 2009 - 2013, but I just struggle with some of the newer shit. l understand he had to switch up a bit to get a bigger audience and I definitely can’t hate, but it’s been tough to bump since the political shit started flowing. Which is crazy because that’s what quadrupled his fan base. I still love almost every song on his Wednesday tapes, it’s just the unfortunately the songs with the most views that I just don’t like lol. I’m lucky he’s got like 500 songs prior to his “switch up” into politics that I can always have on the playlist lol, but I just can’t do to raw thoughts and songs about political figures. But agaain those made him get the hype and credit he finally deserves, so I can’t hate ON it, I just don’t like to listen to it. Gimme some “under classman” or “teenage mutant ninja rapper” or any of that older shit all day over these bs attention grabbing songs. BUT one more time, I’m glad he did them bc they were needed to make his whole journey worth it to get what he was owed. I ranted a whole lot, but my point was there are a lot of people better in the game than Webby right now because he’s not doing him. He may say he’s doing him, and he’s changed as a person so his music has to change with him, but this whole political route ain’t him. He saw the formula worked for some white rappers, Tom M. and others, and he woulda been stupid not to try it, and it worked, but it’s just not him. So I just can’t say there aren’t many people doing it better bc there are. This song’s dope, but just bring back that under classman vibe (certified, raising the bar, my cloud, etc) and then I’ll say he’s back to being a top dog in the game.
