For the most part bastiodons place in the meta probably won’t change much because of how polarizing its matchups are. It’s still gonna dominate the matchups it always has and vice versa for bad matchups

Ariados is my favorite Pokemon, every start of the season I use Ariados-Greninja-Shadow Machamp in the first sets, a few years ago when I started it was the team that allowed me to better understand the GBL, I didn't even know there was a meta, something like that, good to see the "spidercorn" in the spotlight.

i've been using ariados as well, also on the lead, and yeah it's super fun. got to oneshot a quag with trailblaze, and to oneshot a malamar with lunge. idk, but people seem to underestimate it.

Ok, the Ariados mirror might be one of new least favorite mirrors...everyone is doing nothing but resisted damage, and both Pokemon are going to be fully debuffed in attack by the time it ends. I don't think I've ever seen a mirror between (relatively) nonbulky pokemon go that long, especially with nobody shielding 😂

Ariados has always been my favorite GL mon I used it alot last season to combat wiggly basti and vic teams so happy it's even better now

Same here. I usually used him as a closer and a goodra safeswap with Azu in the lead to bait out a fairy. Azu had hydro pump so bastiodon leads were sometimes caught unaware. Yes, there is a reason I'm staying in and not swapping out. 😂

What mon could fit in place of Dewgong? I’m missing a good rank one and not willing to burn two elites on a shitty rank dewgong. I have s and reg a slash, aurorus, abomasnow, plus most other t100 Pvpoke ranked mons to choose from. Let me know!

I mean the closest would be A Slash regular but the whole thing that makes Dewgong unique is its hp and icy wind. There’s not really anything else like it.

I don't have a dewgong built so for now I'm using shadow Quag safeswap with Azu in the back. I also dont have a greninja either. Reis's team is definitely on the more attack weighted/glassy side. The issues with Ariados is that while it does hit psychics for super effective, the fast move pressure ends up losing you the 2 shields against other psychics save Malamar and maybe a few others? I lead into a Girafirig and I knew that I wouldnt win the 2 shield so I swapped Quag knowing they prob had Trailblaze. They fanged me and bailed to feraligatr and I was already almost non health. They also caught an Aqua tail on Gatr which made it even worse. Definitely could've played a lot better.
