Hi Chris and Jack, I don't normally comment on youtube videos but I really felt I had to here. I'm a big fan of everything you've done so far, but I've gotta say, this video is a big disappointment. I thought you guys were better than this, but sadly, just another pair of youtubers who completely lost sight of what they used to do. In the video, they say this is the only copy of the Golden record. This is in fact not true, there were two records, one for each of the two voyager space craft. The lack of realism really took me out of the sketch, and honestly, I don't know if I'll ever be able to enjoy one of your videos ever again because of it. These skits just won't be believable any more. I wish you had done a better job with your research, because you've ruined my Christmas, and frankly, my year.

I think this idea of 2 really dumb aliens responding to our one message after all the years is even more funny when you know the prop that supposed to be a capsule with a message inside is an unsolved mirror Rubik's cube, as if they just didn't know how to solve it so they just went "eh we can send a message through this thing".

@@001100AAAEA Its a rubiks cube that has misaligned faces and no colors so when you scramble it it messes up the shape of the cube not the colors. So to solve it you make it look like a cube again.

Yeah, the mirror blocks is one of my favourite twisty puzzles, cos, on the one hand, it's very easy (cos you solve it the same as a normal rubik's cube or 3x3x3 speedcube, which is very simple to do) and on the other hand, it's very hard (because every side is the same colour, so you cant easily recognise which pieces are which and so it takes a good while to solve, it'd be much easier if it had 6 different colours like normal rubik's cubes). It's more a recognition problem than a solving problem I got one of the Moyu mirror blocks recently, the one with the florian cuts. It moves SO well. They also make a mirror blocks where all the small pieces are the same size, the medium pieces all the same size, the big pieces all the same size, so that every piece has 6 different sides they can be part of and the cube still count as solved, making it much easier to solve, unlike the normal mirror blocks which has every single piece be unique in size and shape so that each piece only has one spot they can possibly be in.

The aliens seem a bit silly, but not meeting with them is a terrible idea, just think of what you can learn by asking them to share other alien tech or visit, sure the aliens themselves are not exactly what you'd want from first contact, but they clearly have advanced tech and access to information humans don't about the universe, that has to be worth something.

They get screwed because the algorithm rewards quantity over quality. Chris and Jack upload mostly once a month, so they rarely get recommended to people. Instead, all the people who make bad low-effort videos on a daily basis and have at minimum one upload a day, get prioritised by the algorithm and recommended to everyone If I was gonna start a youtube channel, I'd try to make like a year's worth of videos, 365 good videos, before I even make the first upload. And then just release one a day for a year to kickstart the channel and get the most amount of subscribers
