I agree with you 1000%. I graduated Barber school in December 2019, and haven't flourished at all. My mom's shop was basically all seniors, which isn't bad, but my mom only charged $10 a cut. For January and February, I only made around $600. In March I made about $250 and then the pandemic hit and we closed down. We didn't open until mid June. It was so slow that me and my mom had to split the week. We didn't make enough, between the both of us, we couldn't make the rent and utilities. My dad would help us out with the difference. Eventually we closed down in December 2020, and most of my mom's clients called and asked why we weren't open, which pissed me off, if they wanted a haircut, why didn't they try and make it in while we were open. Anyway, I've given up on a career as a barber. I didn't get the necessary practice I wanted and needed to advance my skills, and I'm just as unqualified as I was while I was in barber school. I truly wish I would have networked when I should have. Anyway, great content brother, I enjoy your videos.

If I'm a garage barber doing 25-30$ a cut and I'm gonna move to a shop, and all barbers around me charge 50 , what would your move be in that situation? Most of my clients are still teenagers so I'd probably have to start a new clientele if I raised prices at the shop. But from your previous videos you said to just get booked at a low price then raise by $10 every time. Would you stick to that strategy still ?

Rule #1 You don’t loose until you sell......just because an asset in dipping and you’re dollar value is going down.....you hold and it will go back up and so will you’re USD value.....if you panic sell when you see it down....that’s when you loose money.....buy the dips and hold is my strategy because I’m not a day trader

Me for myself as a student in barber school I'm learning that confidence is key because without it would be like Stephen Curry if he just gave up after 3 missed shots knowing that the game is on the line for a win. So you have play forgetful when it comes to bad haircuts and stop looking at others success because like you said we all have to start somewhere even if we are trash bucket's.

I would also say, invest as much as possible and always plan long-term, be smart and knowledgeable about business and how it works, understand that you have to invest in your craft to be successful at it and understand that there's a process to everything 💯 I'm a student and always will be, but with this mentality I'll grow much better especially if I just stay in my lane and don't worry if others are slacking or don't have the work ethic 💯
