I have a small non-denominational church in our senior living home. "All Are Welcome" is a great opener for our service. Thanks

Let us build a house where love can dwell and all can safely live, a place where saints and children tell how hearts learn to forgive. Built of hopes and dreams and visions, rock of faith and vault of grace; here the love of Christ shall end divisions. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place. Let us build a house where prophets speak, and words are strong and true, where all God’s children dare to seek to dream God’s reign anew. Here the cross shall stand as witness and as symbol of God’s grace; here as one we claim the faith of Jesus. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place. Let us build a house where love is found in water, wine and wheat: a banquet hall on holy ground where peace and justice meet. Here the love of God, through Jesus, is revealed in time and space; as we share in Christ the feast that frees us. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place. Let us build a house where hands will reach beyond the wood and stone to heal and strengthen, serve and teach, and live the Word they’ve known. Here the outcast and the stranger bear the image of God’s face; let us bring an end to fear and danger. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place. Let us build a house where all are named, their songs and visions heard and loved and treasured, taught and claimed as words within the Word. Built of tears and cries and laughter, prayers of faith and songs of grace, let this house proclaim from floor to rafter. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.

Dude literally brought me to tears. So amazing. Don Piper when he died (a Protestant -Baptist Pastor) spoke about in heaven there were tons and tons of songs playing and none of them seemed to contradict or interfere with each other. They were all in perfect harmony like someone say.....playing a scale with chords based off a particular key I imagine. When I go to heaven God willing, I hope I hear this exact rendition of the song between the praise. Its funny because one of my favorite right wing provocateur who is Catholic HATES this song. I freaking love it. I love Protestant or Protestant influenced Hymns. Heaven help me but I do. Gregorian chant is great and all, but this is a darn good song!

awesome rendition, this is why they should play guitars in Mass songs . . . I want to thank you. there's a debate going in in my diocese like only traditional Catholic instruments (organ and piano and voice) should be in sacred Mass music vs classical team (only symphony instruments) and modern dudes and gals (can include guitar and electric guitar bass). They kinda just let the parishes decide what to do . . . Strange, how, I went to Ethopia once and they had a Mass there, they were using all the African traditional drums, I didn't understand the lyrics but as a Mass goer I recognized the music. Those people put their heart into it, and despite not me understanding, the lyrics, I was moved, like cross country move. You go world wide and Mass is recognizable at any Cath church / house / office (some Cath churches are prosecuted so bad they're underground) in that country. I don't know what fuss is, but music is music if its pots n spoons or if its Stradivarius violins, so let 'em play. Then there's that mega church that literally packs millions and has to turn peeps away because the music is so good literally the Holy Spirit smacks me like a powerhouse Hawaiian wave if I mess up surfing, playing that Elevation / HIllsong / Klove / Bethel / J Culture kinda CCM music. JUst kinda jaded because as a kid into guitar was turned down by some parish and they wanted me to sing and play the flute or take up organ and instead of letting me do what I wanted my parents went along with it (parents forced piano and organ, hey I'm part asian, most 1st gen asain fams have a piano in the house) and it caused me to walk away from playing music in general because it was work and not fun . . .and started DJ with CD's n turntables (vinyl had gone out by then) but post college realized guitar was the lifelong instrument but missed out my youth learning guitar . . .

Question, where did you learn this, what fret is the capo in and which chord shapes are you using? Where can I learn this!?
@ChrisBrunelle2 жыл бұрын
I am using the sheet music that’s available at ocp.org. If you type in the title and this composer you’ll get to it, there’s also a link at the end of this video that should take you there. I’m just using the lead sheet and making up my cord fingerings using the music. I believe it’s capo three and I’m playing chords in D so that makes it the key of F.
@AnniePike7 жыл бұрын
what strum pattern would you use if not finger picking? Love the sound of your guitar.
@ChrisBrunelle7 жыл бұрын
Hmmmmm. I just do what feels right. I know that's not helpful at all but I've never reall thought in any technical sense about what "pattern" I'm using! Peace to you.

This has to be one of the strongest emetics amidst the current ditties trying to pass as "Catholic music." It lends credence to the allegation that believers have to surrender their brains at the temple door. Good singer, this fellow. Too bad he lends his voice to such tripe.
@ChrisBrunelle4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this singer makes videos of Catholic Church music to assist people in learning the song to use st their own church. Sometimes that means making videos of songs he doesn’t care for, or doesn’t use himself, as is the case here. I haven’t programmed this song for use at a service in many many years.
@tedmaxnews4 жыл бұрын
Is this the song that the USCCB just complained about? I can't see what is wrong with it.
@JackGordone4 жыл бұрын
They shouldn't just complain about it, they should ban it. It is filled with sentimental drivel, unworthy of a hootenanny, let alone a Catholic Mass. Along with a lot of other music of fairly recent vintage, stuff written by Haugen and others who favor cornfield ditties, it should be consigned to the ash heap of history. Catholics should be embarrassed to have allowed this travesty to pollute their churches.
