Looking forward to watching more!

Hi Chris. Great playing as always. I’m a sucker for LPs too, but I always find there’s a certain “muffleness” to the sound, when going fingerstyle. I love my Les Paul but its taken years for me to stop trying to play it like a strat. I get so frustrated whenever I put any gain through the neck pickup and it just flubs out. Now I've stopped the hate and just accept that Les Pauls don't do 'neck' crunch, I'm enjoying it a lot more .. and using the middle position to do what the neck won't.

A good unpotted low wind PAF with a low value cap will definitely give you that IME. I did not experienced this until I went unpotted Alnico V and a 0.015UF cap.

@michaelzahnwehgitarre89573 жыл бұрын
I had the great pleasure of testing one of those in a Store today. It is a stunning guitar. Perfect playability, light, resonant, "woody", just great in every respect and a perfect finish on a Top with just the right amount of flame. Only downside is, like many Les Paul inspired guitars that try to avoid beeing a direct copy, i looks kind of off-proportion and "bloated", but maybe thats just me. Matter of taste. Still an incredible instrument.

Chris - great as always! Would you consider sharing your signal chain when you do your videos like this? Great playing and guitar. Id love one but worry about resale.
@ChrisBuckGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Nicholas Woolfenden Fair point. Resale on boutique instruments very rarely ever matches that of legacy brands unfortunately so that’s a very valid consideration - as such, I guess it’s a case of thinking of it as a purchase akin to a car; you lose money the moment it leaves the forecourt but you love it, use it and have a hell of a lot of fun with it while it’s yours. The bonus with a guitar is that it’ll last infinitely longer than a car 😉
