VW Beetle HOT OIL DIPSTICK temperature sensor

I didnt like it at first but now I LOVE IT.. car is a 1972 VW Beetle 1600 engine

If you are having a temp problem. This is why... If you don't have your heater hoses hooked up you need to block both of them off on the fan shroud, because you are recirculating hot air. Great video, it's very helpful. Also, I think I will make some marks on the temp stick to reflect oil level. Thx

the car won’t get hot. I’m guessing they get hot when you are on a highway or freeway trying to go 65… not there yet the car has a clunk I need to fix.. I bought all the missing engine tin and plugs already

Good stuff; the original ones came from Gene Berg. They are great. Keep the original dipstick in the trunk so that you can check the oil every once in a while. To get the oil hot it is better to get it on the road for a while.
