The one thing I liked and loved about futaba is the relatability with other introverts, gamers, and anime fans. It describes to us the reality of some people in large cities or problems when growing up, and futaba is a victim of the new age. Thats why she's my favorite character in Persona 5.

I haven't played Persona 5/Royal (because I'm a broke college student 😭), but I've watched let's plays and if I were to buy the game, I would romance Futaba in heartbeat! I can't even begin to describe how much I love Futaba's character. She's the only one of the P5 cast I relate to most. I can actually see myself in Futaba. Even as a young adult, I have (and still struggle with) things such as suicidal thoughts, social anxiety, being a shut-in, and having feelings of guilt of being a burden to everyone. And seeing a character in-game (or in any fictional media really) that you can identify with; I can't put into words, but it makes me 'represented' (for lack of a better word) and gives me this sense of wholeness. Not only that, but I love Futaba's character growth. She started out as a shut-in but slowly and progressively breaking out of that shell and interacting with the phantom theives. I can't explain why, but it gives me a sense of hope, and even be a motivator that I can improve myself and get better. And also if I may add...yes...I ship Akira x Futaba. Now, I respect those who see their dynamic as a sibling realtionship and that's fine, but don't criticize or insult those who prefer Futaba. I already explained why I love Futaba. But I like Joker/Futaba because they feel genuinely close and important to each other; they protect one another, and I think it's sweet after completing her palace, Futaba grows close to Joker even going next to him when other people come around. NO, Joker is not "taking advantage" of Futaba. I see it as Futaba having great amount of trust in Joker and being comfortable around him. NO, it's not pedophilic (they're only one year apart). And NO, they are not blood related, and romancing Futaba is NO WHERE NEAR the same as romancing Nanako. I think if the game strictly wanted you to view Futaba as a sister figure, they wouldn't let you romance her in the first place. I just see it as giving good things to Futaba, and the scenes where Futaba becomes your girlfriend are just pretty sweet! ❤️ But again, these are all my opinions. I respect others opinions and will respect others opinions as long as they are civil. I just wanted to fangirl and share my thoughts. Have a good day!

My favourite moment in the original P5 was the final battle against Yaldabaoth. Made a horrible misplay right before he fired his Rays of Control. This attack would've instantly wiped my whole team right there, were it not for Futabae canceling that. I recently got Futaba in game and I'm actually kind of surprised by how cute she is.
