My Ball Python 'Dinker' Eggs are Hatching! See the Results!

I use a golf club grip cutter (hooked blade) to cut eggs. I pull up a loose part of the egg with a hemostat, hook the grip cutter in, tilt the point up, and then cut without worry. Try it instead of big scissors!

I think that is a world’s first, because I produced one of those snakes with two of the snakes from that clutch and it looks exactly like that and kept on breeding those snakes just down to that gene and someone told that was a world’s first and then showed them you video with that female and they said that a new gene in the normals

I've seen people on other channels just "boop" the snake in it's nose and they pull their head back in the egg

Love your Dinker female. She has the gorgeous stripe of the Arroyo, Rio. I was hoping a hatchling looked like his or her mother. When they come out, perhaps there will be a stripe on the back of one of them.

I really like your dinker normal.. she is beautiful.. love the donuts on her sides.. hope you get more like her in the future.. I would certainly purchase one! Maybe you could try breeding her with a single gene male next year like clown or hypo where you can see the dinker gene more clearly and choose a male to breed back to the mom. Very interesting project you have!!

I got some dinkers this year. My male is *supposed* to be banana leopard pinstripe pastel. I was told by a friend who's been breeding for years that it's unlikely he has pastel because his yellow is so vibrant. Well, leopard, pinstripe, and banana all proved out.... but there's another gene that we're having trouble identifying. At first they looked like fire, but when they shed the brightness went down. Right now, not sure if it's enchi or HGW. I'm kinda worried to make a super because HGW is in spider complex... Also, what are your thoughts on mild kinking? One of my little girls has very mild kinking, she's a month old and I only noticed when she ate a big meal. Is it genetic and she shouldn't be bred? Or is it dangerous for her to be gravid?

i just wanna say as a hobby breeder i understand your fear lol but i dont believe you'll have trouble finding people to sell the baby's to. can trade the baby's in at a pet shop you trust for credit or even post your baby's on a group on facebook, reddit and ect and people will let you know if they wanna buy or not. like i posted my three clutches of baby's on reddit and facebook and ended up having over 40 people asking if i was selling or willing to sell/trade for some of the baby snakes. idk if this was much help and im sure Chris can give better advice lol
