The late Pearl Bailey once said " I've been poor and I've been rich. Rich is better". I agree, and I got there the old fashioned way. Work and investing...

If you are properly prepared and knowledgeable, every crash/collapse/inflation or recession gives an equal market opportunity. I've seen folks amass up to $800,000 throughout crises and even do it with ease in a terrible economy. Without a doubt, someone has become enormously wealthy as a result of the crash.

A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.

"Carol Pasol Lewis" is the advisor that oversees my portfolio. She's been able to gain some reputation and online recognition with over 3 decades in service, so it shouldn't be a hassle to find basic info.

Rather of relying on penny stocks, I wish to diversify my assets by investing in ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of corporations with stable cash flows. I received $400k from the selling of my property. What should I do?

Remember that investing in the market carries risks, and it’s important to do your own research and consult with a financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

With the help of an investment advisor, I was able to diversify my $550K portfolio across multiple markets, and in just a few months, I was able to earn over $950K in net profit from high dividend yielding stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds..

There are a lot of schools that do teach this stuff. The problem is high school kids don't care enough to pay attention unfortunately. I knew how to file a simple tax return sophomore year and knew a lot of the concepts (thankfully I had a father who is a CPA). But a lot of the other students just slept or didn't care enough

Decades ago people saved 10% of their earnings. Mostly savings accounts or government bonds. You weren’t bombarded with media based ads unless you count the department store ads in the Sunday paper. No internet, no endless TV commercials, no social media. You had less opportunity to spend so you saved.

We rented our home for 10 years. When we bought it, the mortgage was 300/mo cheaper than the rent then the home value doubled after a few years and planned remodeling. We went from barely affording rent to owning a $500k house with a 150k mortgage/$1100mo.

To my understanding this just proves how much we need an edge as investors because playing the market like everyone else just isn’t good enough. I've been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it's the best time to get started on the market, what are your thoughts?

Since the crash, I've been in the red. I’m playing the long term game, so I'm not too worried but Jim Cramer mentioned there are still a lot of great opportunities, though stocks has been down a lot. I also heard news of a guy that made $250k from about $110k since the crash and I would really look to know how to go about this.

Also I dont think i will need a career lol. I prefer learning things myself unless you are better than me. I want to be rich cuz people are full of weirdos. Only few people are good. Sadly those good people will be used by weirdos.

Financial soundness requires humans to be OK with change to their current situation. And what is the hardest thing for a human - change! But what is the only thing that's guaranteed in life - change! So if we're open to positive change, making one small one at a time, financial soundness can be achieved. Great video!!

If they don't have enough money to pay their bills how is that an excuse?
@hellfire0332
@hellfire0332 Жыл бұрын
@@donaldlyons17 It's an excuse because they can change jobs, maybe even career fields if necessary. Get an education, get certifications, or just develop different skills which can help you get a higher paying job. Then live within your means (less than you make) and save the rest. A lot of people making low wages are just too lazy to try something new and would rather blame society for their misery. People who manage to improve their standing in life, at some point, realized they controlled their destiny and made meaningful changes to get there.
@donaldlyons17
@donaldlyons17 Жыл бұрын
@@hellfire0332 Well how can that be true? You do realize many who work fast food and short order have done it their entire lives (people in the highest positions.) So how can that make sense given that reality? Median incomes for single income earners is 50K not 100K or more so tell me how it is possible for everyone to "different skills which can help you get a higher paying job." If they as a collective are getting higher and higher paying jobs why is the median so close to median numbers from 30 years ago? 50K in 1990 and 57K in 2023 while a house went from 150K to 300K

@@donaldlyons17 you said a whole lot of nothing. Get a higher education or stay broke. computer science, healthcare, law, engineering, etc are all and need and all you need to dedicate is 2-4 years of your life for some of these careers. radiologist tech starts at 30 an hour and can go to 60 an hour. The education requirement for that is only 3 years. get an education or stay broke, its that easy.

Well speeding is not likely the issue in my experience if my basics cost are 2X the cost my parent paid at the same point in their lives. Case in point housing cost at least 2X as much compared to income. We know this because the median income is about 50K while the median house is around 400K.

I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix-- Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. I want to put in $90k more into the market. I heard people are making really great returns despite the downturn. Any recommendations?

Don't let people and this video sell you on some 10% growth crap. Inflation has been 7% last 2 years. Buy gold if you want to save. They want your money. And telling you to save for 40 years while they pass out billions in bonuses. Over the last 15 years if I would have put all my money under my mattress and eat the inflation I would be in a better place financially. Every bank and service want to nickel and dime you with fees and loses like its normal.

Folks thinking like that don’t realize that you want the values of your investments to be low, so you can continue to purchase at a lower price. The only day you want it to be high is the day you sell it.
