It was my first time hearing Gabriel too... I recently had to describe what kind if singing I love the most and I came up with: "Singing the heart out, with the power of the voice", and he definitely does that!!! Purely amazing! And that's what I love in Son Jin Wook's singing too. For me he is just as great, or at least has a true potential to be. I'd love him to have an amazing vocal coach like you... For me his talent is like a diamond that could get to shine even more in hands of a right craftsman. What he also needs in my opinion, is a good push (and a proper management :/ ) to spread the wings.

They have a cover of "Say Something" and were trying to portray a very somber mood. They asked him not to sing with his hands, so he had a death grip on the chair next to him to keep from moving. He looked miserable. For me, it wasn't just the mood they set for the song, he himself was having a mood because he couldn't emote with his hands. I couldn't wait for your reaction to this. You didn't disappoint!

Thanks for the very interesting insights into Gabriel's performance. My personal favorites of his are Lead The Way, O Holy Night and I Wanna Know What Love Is. But some songs where Gabriel really seems to really let loose are And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going, Hurt and Goodness of God.
