Dude this song got me through one of the hardest times in my life last year. Hearing not just Tilian and Jon, but Andrew all there giving something to offer in this song during my struggles gave me hope. My gf overdosed and on top of that, I was attending a uniform school away from my family and friends for a semester. i felt really empty for a long time and hearing Jon open with his line "Dont listen to acceptance speeches" gave me hope that things would be okay and now im back home, and my gf is healthy and safe. Watching your videos and reactions to these songs made me feel that I'm not the only one who enjoyed this band in the same context of excellent musicianship and made my days better than what they could've been. Thanks so much man

I call this song the one with the “Lana Del Ray” effect. Something about the “All I wanted was a blank page/ and a wide-open space” lines match her cadence, and I love the sadness it brings to the song. I’d be lying if I told you I haven’t driven down the interstate to this with tears in my eyes. One of my faves for sure.

man i remember listening to this for the first time and being absolutely blown away by jons second part. that "bad weather / more pressure" line was INSANE to me. loved it. still super pleased with this release

Yup that’s Andrew alternating with Tilian near the end, one of the highlights of this track. Jon’s melodic screaming also shines here. Random af side note, one man’s cringe starts a run of 5 consecutive songs with 3 word song titles lol. Since you’ve already done feels bad man and die another day you can move on to two secret weapons. I have an unpopular opinion about this one lol but I’ll save it for after your reaction.
