This is the entrance procession to the Chrism Mass (Mass of the Holy Oils) on the morning of April 8, 2010 at the Manila Cathedral Basilica, Intramuros, Philippines. The two music pieces are the vision statement of the Archdiocese of Metro Manila and 'Priestly People', the latter being appropriate for 2010 designated by his holiness, Pope Benedict XVI as 'the year of the priest'. It is tradition in the Archdiocese of Metro Manila to be held the morning of Holy Thursday. The mass is for the blessing by the archbishop and distribution of the three holy oils - anointing of sick, catechumans, and confirmation - for individual parishes throughout the archdiocese. The mass was presided over by his emminence Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales. The grand choir is from Immaculate Conception Parish in Tondo/Tayuman. The Manila Cathedral Basilica is home to the largest church-stationed pipe organ in all of Asia.
