being able to dynamically adjust techniques on the fly is proof of a master fisherman there.

the only critique i'd have, is with those 'small' size 8 octopus hooks, maybe try just hooking through the upper lip instead of both, for a better hookset.

You caught a mackerel last week. Week before? I should really check out when you actually make the videos. Sometimes I do. Anyways, yeah that's nice. Better than bunker or herring that we get in NJ. It's good to stay flexible. Lot's of blue's are on the way to New England. No surprises that the Stripas are on the mackerel. Happy chunking! Spooks are getting it done on the blues in NJ.

First week of may.. they moved on, prob just went a little deeper, but this was the last day I caught any, which was about 2 weeks ago. We have the bunker up here inside the bays/rivers, which is where most guys are fishing now, myself included.

@ChrisMcIntee8 ай бұрын
fish are spread out all around now.. generally just have to move around til you find em, @edizzle15 recommendations are good ones. 1-2oz Bucktails, 2oz kastmaster, sp minnow, popper or spook... all good

@@Caseywollman i grew up with a cottage on Misquamicut beach but haven’t been back much in the last couple decades. I’ll always remember catching blues and stripers on poppers/spooks and chunking or diamond jigging. Kastmasters always got the job done as well. Chris would know better than I as he fishes there regularly but those spots can always produce good fish this time of year. Good luck and ✌🏼from Colorado.
