Looking for my first tuna on my boat . Made it all the way to the Ranger wreck last week and my port throttle broke. Guys hooking up all around and I had to limp home for 6 hours.

Here in southwest long island fluke actually not as plentiful or as big in the backbays this year compared to last year, last year was one of my better fluke seasons tho

In my opinion, I think the poor fluking is due to cyclical factors that happen in migratory fish (ie weakfish, ling, tog, fluke). This is the start of a very dark time for this fishery…
