Is it me or are there more Macks than usual this year. Its way harder to catch them on the cape this year Aswell (for me at least) and I'm wondering if they have all just came down to Ri. Every time I have jigged at Brenton I get at least a couple by accident and I threw a sabiki down once right before going to tuna ridge and got at least 30 of them within 10 minutes. I don't remember them being this easy to catch here.

these atlantic macks just took hold last year, I think historically there were always a lot all season, then they vanished for a couple decades, then the chubs appeared like 2017ish, now this year and last year its a pretty good mix of chubs and Atlantics. They are scattered around everywhere now though, which Im happy to see, they make good bait

@@ChrisMcIntee Yeah, I love that there coming back. They are definitely one of my fav tuna baits and now when I'm heading out I can stop at Newport and get a bunch before heading out offshore. I also wonder if they would work for mahi now that its the time of year.
