Your videos always teach me the ways of salt-water fishing! Hopefully next year I will be chasing the big ones, according to all the migration times and patterns that I marked down this year.

Dude, you fished hard. I covered about 15 miles in about 8 hours my day. Totally wiped out, that worked out to be a decent day of fishing towards the end for you.

15 miles is impressive.. I drove more than I paddled but I definitely tried, came up short. july I am going twice as hard haha enough is enough

It could be worse, you could have got skunked! July and August should be the real challenge! See you at Sterling harbor, I think I'll make it for the party, but I won't be fishing this year☹️

cool man, yea I caught enough to make it interesting, if I got skunked then there would have been some very harsh language at the end of the video haha

Just a little tip if your ever back down in cape may looked like you launched on the other side of lunds if you pull up right along the docks put a whole squid on 100% you can pull some decent bass off of it i have access to the dock and have caught them up to 37inches during the summer
@ChrisMcIntee8 жыл бұрын

Hey man you can build set of wheels with harbor freight wheels and some pvc pipe, several videos on here and probably cost you under 30$ built mine this way and been holding up great
@MyLonewolf258 жыл бұрын
Also don't hook it in the eyelet in your rod it can crack and scuff it which will possibly break and fray your line. It's just a good idea to hook in in the the "rigging" that connects the eyelet to the rod
@FishAholicTV8 жыл бұрын
Great video even though it was tough and nice new Fish Finder btw, haha you finally got one.
@MyLonewolf258 жыл бұрын
Also am I the only one who rigs the hollow bodied flukes with the main shank of the hook in that pocket in the bait and the hook point in the back? Epically with a weighted hook. I find it to work better esp in weeds and structure

Old kids toy big wheels or wagons from the dump or even on street before trash pickup have the materials for home made fishing carts and kayak carriers. Old strollers or tricycle wheels and shafts are even stronger. Your only limit is your imagination.

thats a chain pickerel (Esox Niger) its related to the Northern pike (Esox Lucius). I'm Canadian and I would just like to say calling a Walleye a pickerel is just a colloquialism that old fisherman passed down. Side note: the pike family from smallest to biggest is Pickerel, Pike and Muskie.

Don't take it wrong, but it was refreshing to see someone frustrated in a video, hitting spots with no fish like a lot of us, instead of just hauling them in. But you gotta get a cart, especially for a hobie. You can get the new C-Tug Sandtrakz wheels for $85 shipped and build a PVC cart for a few bucks more. There's a cart thread with a number of PVC designs, including my folding design, on SOL. www.stripersonline.com/surftalk/topic/655949-ive-had-it-with-this-kayak-cart/page-2

How do you manage to never get caught in a bunch of seaweed and all that shit? Every time I got saltwater fishing (in nj) I catch more cabbage than I do fish.
@ChrisMcIntee8 жыл бұрын
I find my share of seaweed, typically if you can avoid the new/full moon tides as well as any strong south winds you will be clear of any major seaweed disasters, strong current usually gets that stuff moving around all through the water column, idk if I am getting seaweed I move to a different spot, sometimes further in the backbay there is cleaner water than close to the inlets
