I tested a flashed fz09 that I was going to buy with a full Toce exhaust, and I was moving down from a stock KTM SuperDuke 1290 R. The thing popped, banged, and screamed. I couldn't help but giggle and laugh out loud the entire time. I loved it so much.

We set a time for me to come pick it and the title up 36 hours later, and 30hrs later I said I'd be leaving soon and they said "Nope sold it." Ceramic bearings are worth their weight in gold something he didn’t mention is with the ceramics you are supposed to be able to take the seals off clean them out and degrease them and supposed to have much much longer life then normal bearings have them on a gen 1 busa and love them

Chris, since you asked, I feel that "pops" and "bangs" makes the bike seem like it is not tuned correctly. But to each their own. I like a clean, smooth deceleration on a bike. That being said, I am always learning from you. This "marble" block in the hose you discuss, I suspect this is the same as removing and blocking the PAIR Valves without having to remove and block the actual PAIR valve. Cool beans. The only thing you could add for others is the size of the marble before they accidentally drop it into the tube. Lol

From what i know they have new crankshafts i think but what i really know is that they're powerful on the top end and it seems it can go up to 15k rpm cz of the euro 5 emissions unlike 19-23 can go to 16k

I done something kind of unique with my 23 year old ZX9r's KLEEN air (PAIRS) system. I removed the vacuum pump and silencer, removed it from the airbox, together with the crankcase breather hose. I then joined the two together, with a small K&N filter on the end using a four way pipe connector and a longer bit of tubing for the crankcase breather, and blocked the holes on the airbox with Sugru. The engine now has options as the exhaust can still get air through the reed valves, and the crankcase breather can still vent no problem either through the reed valves or just the air filter. It sounds awesome, and I'm getting more, and only clean air into the combustion chambers.

Yes you can. The power modes can be re-programmed to different fuel maps. Had it done on my 13' so I'm assuming it's still the same.

My '21 ZX636 makes 148hp with VP MR12. I'm running Woolich racing and the engine is overbored to 674cc. It is uneatable in the straight but not as nimble as an R6 in the turns. Also, while the price of the bike is cheaper, once you add all the upgrades to have the same features as a fly-by-wire bike it ends up costing you more.

I disabled air injection on everything I ever rode. All the way back to my old KZ and the hose was 3/16 or 5/16 vacuum line and i used a steel BB The onlybthing it helped with was tuning with an EGA. Didn't change horsepower like you said. I just don't like the lean misfire/after burn popping.

Love the bike. Very tastefully done. As far as the question regarding pops and bangs tune, not only is it pretty annoying but it can also have extremely detrimental effects not only on the engine but on the powerband and fuel mileage as well. You're dumping a lot more fuel in unnecessarily and sending your egt's through the roof. Not to mention the damage you're doing to youre likely doing to your valvetrain and rings. I get wanting to look and sound cool but it achieves neither of those and leaves a lot of power on the table rather than optimizing air/fuel to be leaner in a safe range with proper timing.
