I bought a light rod recently 2-8gr. Only tried it once but I already love it. Usually Im fishing a 5-20gr setup but 90% of my baits are in the 5gr range so I feel more comfortable with the lighter one. Sadly its getting really cold, fish are passive and here the season for trout is over, so no trout fishing allowed. Might switch to top water bread and catch some chubs.

Hi Chris, I've just had an hour on my local canal fishing like this. First time I've tried it but was so much fun and had plenty of perch with the odd roach thrown in for good measure. Thanks for sharing the video

Hey mate we have redfin in Australia. I can walk 5 min to catch them. Introduced here in the 1860s. They sent out 10 fish and 7 died. So all our millions are descended from 3 fish! Unbelievable!!!
Great video, love watching all news where you jig worms as you never know what the next fish will be ( proven at the end with the barbel lol ) also I was just wondering if u had and bait casting rods around the 40-80g casting weight that you know of for a reasonable price??

@Boxersboy-um1fd3 жыл бұрын
Chris - some beautiful fish there - however: Some of your fish 'care' leaves a lot to be desired - for example: 04:34 - Your second perch - thrown into a landing net and quite clearly hits a root coming out from the bank 04:57 - Whilst playing your 3rd Perch, you can see the 2nd one still laying on the top until at least 05:02 - it only moves when the ripples of the 3rd fish triggers it. Now, unless you caught that 3rd fish on the next cast, and there's a possibility you did - even if that happened, that 2nd Perch, having been thrown onto a root stump, could have been laying there for at least 2 minutes? 05:24 - The 3rd Perch is thrown into the landing net and quite clearly hits the roots coming out from the bank. I am just thankful that they all swam away okay... You are a great angler Chris - but please take better care of your catch - and maybe treat Perch with the same respect you showed the Barbel...
