I got one (UV version) via kickstarter - awesome. EDC? no way, too heavy. Fabulous tool. As of today December 4th - this is listed as "Sold Out" on Wuben's web site. Red light is hyper handy in the field as it will not diminish your night vision as white light will do.

That's right... it's really something new, I like everything and would buy it, with one exception... I'm a bit weird... and don't want big and strong magnets on the flashlight, because the magnetism can then affect other things I have nearby and pick up metal objects it comes in contact with - so despite... the practical... feature, I'm happy when there's no magnet. BUT I'm a bit odd about some things.

I finally got mine and it just doesn't work for me. The dial is hard to use, especially for the side light, and the UI is so inconsistent it often feels broken. Sometimes the dial changes the spotlight->flood, sometimes it adjusts the light output, sometimes hitting the button adjusts the light output, sometimes it changes which light is on. Even the free tailswitch addition is weird, it isn't just on/off or turbo... so many confusing decisions.

So many missed opportunities. The toggle or the rotary dial could have been used for a mechanical zoom function. This would also have eliminated the need for a diffuser, and it would eliminate the need to split the total output between 4 LED's. If they had kept all LED's within 1 mirror or 1 set of mirrors (connected to the mechanical zoom) you would always have maximum output regardless of your choice between flood or throw.

Seems like these have been on Kickstarter since 1987. Every light they come out with is on Kickstarter and you have to wait. It looks like a awesome light tho. The ONLY thing I don't like is that pocket clip. That thing is atrocious. Just like the clips on Nitecore's EDC lineup. Don't know why but you would figure flashlight companies would be able to get the clip right on a flat flashlight, you know, similar to a knife. They've got it down with round flashlights, kinda.

@@ChrispyThings uv light poor, tactical switch doesn’t turn on in high or ability to choose which is the purpose of tactical !, poor battery door and lock switches and units looking used and poor, huge delays (part of kickstarter to be fair ) poor comms , plenty in info on the kickstarter comments , I’m huge Wuben fan but this has left me a bit bitter and still not shipped mine yet :(

Mine is on the way and already knowing what you mentioned from the comments is just disappointing. I just don’t want the battery doors to fail or it’s game over. I can live with broken locking system.
