Yeah, you gotta have some good cards. They're thinner, much better material, hold their shape better, move across themselves easier, but also grip better to the skin when you want them to. A well made deck is something speshul.

Hey Chris, I know that this video is 4 years old and I am just now discovering for the first time, but as I am a complete newb to Cardistry, watching you, who have come a long way since this video was made, is so much fun since I look up to you the same way you look up to the guys in this video. I feel like a regular human civilian, while your like Batman, and the guys in the video are at Superman level. I could watch you reacting to top-tier Cardists all day long. In this video I feel like I am hanging out with you at your home while we sit in awe of what talents and skills are waiting for us at the top of the mountain. Thanks for this, Even though now your much closer to the level of the guys in this video, watching you get your mind blown back then gives me hope for my own Cardistry future.

I remember being at the beginning of all the cardistry. The community was being built on Decknique which was a very popular forum for people who flourished. I remember being extremely active there and coming up with flourishes that people actually saw and used from me. Then the website closed and I kind of dropped off from cardistry. When I came back 4 or 5 years ago, the art has moved so far that I was left way to far behind. I still do flourishes I have created over the years even though they don’t seem as innovative as they did before, but I’m just so proud of where this art form has gone to. It’s truly incredible it has expended beyond a “handful” of dedicated people. Proud of everyone who takes up cardistry as the primary thing.

Yo chris, to answer your question at 7:04, my personal tips is film it when you try to make tricks, and review it later. some fails can be developed to a greater idea, the wins can easily show the steps. so, yea. i also music producer, the concept is not so different. it's better to have a guns loaded to give it a shot, maybe some will hit the jackpot. good luck :)
