Thanks Chris for another interesting video. This one is my seconds favorite of the lot, I like the "gold dust" in the green resin. I found this videos very enjoyable, so again, thanks for the video and may you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy 🖖.

First restoration video of yours I saw was when you were restoring a EPENCO, cool because that happened to be the first vintage pen I wanted to restore. Thanks to your video, it was a success!

I just love pens with this design. By far my favourite section shape too. Thank you for bringing it back to life :) I'm sure it had a rich history

I love the look of the pen, there's something about a nice green pen with gold finish that i find really appealing.

Best part of this pen, especially now that it writes again. The nib is pretty good too.

The pen reminds me a lot of the Sheaffer No Nonsense. The grain and color are wonderful. Excellent restoration, thanks for sharing!

That is a gorgeous pen. Great job and thanks for sharing. I can imagine someone bootlegging and having that pen sitting in his ‘32 5 window coupe.

That's really cool. It's lovely to see how well the restored vintage pen came out. The nib looked amazing after cleaning, I was surprised. It's good you managed to get some more shopping. Hopefully, there are some places around your area you can go out and walk the dog yet be away from others. I have taken to cycling through this, as long as I am staying away from others. :)

Our local parks are open for now. Second choice is local streets that are quiet.

I know what you mean. Nice looking pen. I do like green, and those veins in it really make it pop.

Thank you, Chris. Nice work pens look brand new and the nib rights well enough, the only way you could improve it is to use a nib shaper tool and a burnisher but to be honest I certainly would not be comfortable doing that with a nib that old and I'd probably make it worse. Stay safe & healthy.
@chrisrap524 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Only so much I'm comfortable doing.

Because of those rubber bands for lobsters which you mentioned a while back, I thought till recently that you were from Maine. Thanks for showing how that lever works, always thought it was like rudimentary piston.

I do enjoy a Maine lobster & did buy 500 lobster bands a while ago - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJ6Vl4qlrs95jKc. I've given away all my spare bands.

@@chrisrap52 Yes, it was that video, and as a European I guess we automatically associate lobster to Maine.

@chrisrap52 I'm just now going through a massive pile of pens that my father accumulated over the years. Lots of junk, broken ones and a few decent ones. I appreciate the inside view of the cap and clip. Many of the pens I have àre constructed with this type of clip; some of them have broken off. Is it possible to remove and replace these clips with a donor, or would removal ruin the cap?
@chrisrap523 жыл бұрын
Anything is possible. Not something I've considered.

Nice job on this pen. I hadn't seen a tube with pressed in caps before.BTW, you should seriously investigate the Cross Peerless 125. I find it a very comfortable pen to use, and the nibs are quite good.
