EXCELLENT! How about using (one club more) with your technique and choking down for the higher handicapped player, especially with the idea of encouraging a slower swing. Most of us normally would try to hit it harder. Liked your explanation of how swinging slower produces less spin and more trajectory but my feeling in the wind is, I need more club.

When you have a foward shaft lean at set up, does that mean the feel on your grip also change? And does the backswing path also different? Which will feel more closed club face. Thankyou.

very good video.. just one question... by moving the ball further back in the stance will it not make the club travelling in to out at contact and induce a draw shape? and if we want to hit a low straight ball flight should we open the stance also? or what other set up changes will be need for the curve on the ball... thanks for the great videos , they have been very helpful to me ...

My stock shot is a low punch shot, way too much forward shaft lean at impact through dragging the handle! Have you any advice for dragging the handle Chris? My instructor currently has me throwing the right hand as fast as possible to "feel" like the clubhead gets to the ball first, in reality it just takes out some of my shaft lean, it definitely improves my strike quality, height, clubhead speed and distance but I do spray it all over the place at the moment hitting snaps and blocks, only been working on it for a couple of sessions though.

My main question is how much distance do you lose/need to accommodate for? are we talking 5-10yds? Or does changing the dynamic loft also change the distance traveled since you are basically de-lofting the club from say a 7 iron to a 5 iron?

Hi Chris, Two questions. 1. Is Knockdown Shot the same as Punch Shot? 2. You talked about the ball position. Anything about the line or club face? I tend to hit the low shots quite a bit left.

Great video Chris, as your usual quality. But, why not just choose a longer club and either [1] swing easier and/or [2] shorten your swing length and/or [3] choke-down on your grip?

I like what he said about moving your whole body a few inches toward your target at address. I usually don't play it back this much for a punch shot, but it looks like it would be much easier to "trap it" if I did. I look forward to trying it.

yeah I hit my 3 wood with the ball way back in the stance. Goes really low and usually pretty straight. Don't lose all that much distance either. Straighter than my normal 3 wood shots
