best on the tube right now, if only i could get a lesson i reckon Chris would put me on the right path and diagnoise my issues instantly, go to the local pro 6 times and they dont analyse the swing like this !! they only give "snipets" i guess theres a process and cant fix everything at once, but never in 20 years have i had a lesson and given such an overview in simple terms like this, hats off to Chris!!

Watched this, went to the garage grabbed a 7 iron and joined along for the lesson, awesome lesson, felt like I got an $80 lesson for free, thank you.

Fantastic lesson Chris! The steering wheel analogy is great and certainly transformed his swing. The swing thought that helped me with this was to imagine punching someone behind me over my shoulder. This addresses a few things; shallowing the club (as described in this lesson), keeping a flat lead wrist (you'd break your wrist punching with a cupped or bowed wrist), and good shoulder turn (not much power punching behind you with arms only).

Hey Chris, I also get it across the line at the top but I’ve always managed to get the club coming too much from the inside on the way down (around 7 degrees on av.) and don’t compress the ball as much as I’d like. Would this drill work to help me get a more neutral swing path as well?

The steering wheel analogy is really good.

Just tried this at the range.I've never hit my irons more solid! Great divots and shots that had more penetration. Thank you.

I’ve heard the “steering wheel” analogy before, and have difficulty applying it (because in the golf swing the hands are together). I’m more curious about the “water ski” analogy, which allows for rotation in the downswing (a slinging action to generate clubhead speed), and more specifically, how to square up the clubface at impact when whipping the club around your body. Good stuff, Chris 👍🏻 Keep up the good work.

I was able to figure out what it meant by “let my arms fall” with this two part drill

I used to hit my irons longer than the club pro, Breaking 100 is a challenge !! I've played a game, 6 pars and a birdie, 101 !!! 12 two putts and a one putt, 103. I can hit a 7 200 yards, ,220 5 iron, 155 9 iron and many 275-300 drives, All pre -covid, My game is all over !! I'm topping irons, Drives are going maybe 250 total, I can tell you what your doing wrong, but not what I'm doing wrong. I've shot 45 on the front then turn and shoot 57 !!! WTF Is wrong with my driver? Why am I topping my Irons on the fairway? However I watched and practiced your driver technique 5 days and just swung the club ,no balls, just tees. The first drive I hit that weekend carried 278 yards !!! also I fell back. I never ever fell , I leaned back a bit a just let the driver do the work, Best drive I've hit in a long time, I cannot duplicate it since.

I thought i had a slice until i used impact sticker and found i was hitting the heel side of centre
@CallawayGolf894 ай бұрын
Can still be a slice regardless where you hit it. Just less common if hit on the toe. It's largely influenced by face direction and swing path vs face impact...

He’s taking a lesson and acting like he knows what you’re saying already. Just sit and listen mate
