Great video! So many videos on mechanics and not nearly enough on the mental approach. Thanks for putting this together.

Great tips and advice Chris. Will definitely be putting these into my game next spring. 👍

Great video Chris. Thank you. Sooo many components I wish I simplified decades earlier. I guess if we mastered these at a young age then we’d possibly be or have played on the pro circuit.

Exactly! So many lessons in this game and I’m not sure I’ll ever learn them all, but guess that’s why we lobe this game

Yes but if need a 3 wood or 5 wood to get 165 yrds need to look at things differently. All you professionals seem to think easy to hit clubs a long way. I am 17 handicapper can get down in 2 from a bunker or off green maybe 2 or 3 times a round and seldom more than 3 shots but can only carry a driver 175 yrds . 70 yrs but never hit the ball any further after 50 yrs regularly playing golf and no health issues. Also a good putter. Not sure why ball doesn’t travel further even with good hits.

#3, #5, and #7 are gold! #7 is something that I will use every shot I play from now on! Thank you.

at the 5:23 mark, there was a video edit cut and then the shot played out... how badly did you shank that first shot into the water? lol just having fun

My Mrs spent £200 on lessons for me😮 the first lesson was me hitting a 7 iron down the range plus correcting my set up. The 2nd lesson was me setting up and hitting my 7 iron down the range I asked the pro if he could help me get out of bunkers and give me a lesson on my short game He said there were no bunkers at the driving range for us to practise getting out of the sand. My 4 lesson well was the same as my first 3 I never went back what a waste of my Mrs’s money. I haven’t had the ❤ to tell her as she was well pleased with the gift she got me. The pro never even had the decency to contact me to see if I was gonna use my remaining lesson 😡

What in blue blazes is going on with the deciduous tree die outs that I have seen on every course I play here in Upstate New York. Looking behind Chris, I see the same thing is going on in Britain. Ash, maples, oaks and some pines, sometimes as much as 50% of the trees lining the courses die over one or two years. Off topic, but it is rather unsettling to see it everywhere you look.

So I struggle massively with spinning shoulders out. On course my best thought has been back to the target. Would that be a feel or a swing thought?

Excellent video Chris! I feel relaxed on the range, but everytime i go to the course, i go straight to crap. Im that one that does alot of thinking at address... my set up OK, don't swing to fast, lean into shot, etc.... swing and it's nothing good.

I watched this video and then left the app. I had to come back to this video just to thank you 😂 I'm putting the work in with my coach, and it's definitely working, but on the course, it falls apart. I'm usually apprehensive when the weekend comes. You have just given me some much needed confidence.
@ChrisRyanGolf11 ай бұрын
Hopefully these tips help, can be tough taking a new swing to the course, stick with it though as if it working on the range it’s only a matter of time before you see those results on the course

Chris, the 10 tips were great. I would like to add a tip from George Gankas to help golfers separate planning from execution. George encourages golfers to take a deep breath at the end of the planning phase and then as you walk to or the ball “go external.” After the deep breath, look up and take in the larger scene, the trees, the clouds, the buildings or hills on the horizon, etc. In addition focus on the background sounds around you like birds chirping, the wind in the trees, the distant sound of a lawn mower and so on. Then address the ball and make your swing.
@ChrisRyanGolf11 ай бұрын
Yeah love that, so important to get into the right zone for the shot to be able to execute
