rosey bless: My ex got engaged to his rebound this year, he was with her for about 8 months when he proposed to her, and I was with him for two years putn up with his mess and never got a ring. But yet in still he will not leave me alone that I may heal properly. I’ve made sure I put on the “oh-yeah-I-forgive-u-and-I’m-good-and-I’m-GREAT!!!” attitude, becuz I can NOT let him see me distraught over his recent move. Anyway, my birthday was this month..I said that I was gona enjoy it .. book a hotel for a few days, go shopping, take myself to the movies and love ME!. Well the day before my birthday, it was pouring rain!! I was on my way to the hotel, got turned around with a location mix up, and immediately I felt my heart sinking becuz the prelude to my birthday celebration was going all wrong. Well in the midst of me standing in the rain, not knowing what to do from there, guess who texts me?? MY ENGAGED EX!! I was like oh nooooo!!! Not you. Anyway I responded back telln him my situation. What hapned next made me think I was dreaming. He told me to stay right there, don’t move, told me to put my location in so that he cld find me, told me to stay on the phone with him until he got there just to be safe ...HE FOUND ME IN THE POURING RAIN 25 minutes later!!, took me to my hotel, took me back out to get something to eat, came back to the hotel with me and stayed with me for about 2 hours, cashedapp a few dollars to me! had me take my cheese cake out that I reserved for my birthday to wish MYSELF a happy birthday, had me light the candle, and sung happy birthday to me!!. Next we’re talkn, he lays on my bed and starts the convo of talkn about us, stating even though he is engaged to this girl, he will always be there for me .. OF COURSE I DID NOT WANT TO HEAR THAT.! smh. It wasn’t long before he began holding me while talkn to me & began to kiss me .... Yes!! My ENGAGED EX!!!!. I’m like noooooool!!! Please don’t do this!!. I kinda fought him for a bit but of course I gave in eventually and we slept together -smh. Afterwards, I asked him, why are u marrying this girl, you are not ready for marriage. His response was although they are having issues, he invested $8k into the ring so he has to make this work. He left, and I was just staring at the TV .. asking myself .. how did all of this hapn??! This wasn’t part of the plan. Now .. here I am, feeln like a cheap side-chick when I know I merited that ring way more than she did after being with him for two years 😔. Somehow .. someway .. I’ll get through this. Happy holidays everyone, and be careful with ur ex’s, don’t slip like I did.

Hey Luh it is hard when religion is the reason as you are asking someone to go against their faith and family. I would suggest that after a period of NC and speaking to him again if he is not willing to go against his parents then you are going to have to accept that this may not work.

Hi JM, there is no mixed messages here if he is reading the message you sent often it just shows that you are on his mind, he has not reached out to you to send mixed signals. You need to stop watching his social media, this is not helpful to your healing and moving past the break up. You need to complete a 45 day NC where you do not watch anything online to do with him, you do not reach out or reply to anything if he was to contact you. Stop watching his activity, it is not healthy behavior.

Sorry for bothering you, As much as I wanted to avail personal coach with you as of the moment we are all having global problem. I hope you could give me some free advice here if you have free time only. Actually I'm not looking on his updates I unfollow him. What I mean is I have messages that I sent to him before we argue and I already knew that he wasn't able to read it . And also after we argue He gave me a silent treatment I just assumed it is a break up. Since after the arguments he don't txt, I tried to tx him no response.
