Ok, this is such a fantastic thing to know, Christine! I can't begin to tell you the times I wish I could add my own 'cherry-picked' words to my cards and to be honest, I've had my laptop for 2 years now and I can't believe I didn't think of it. And, I never would have thought to download an image from the Internet. I also have a Scan N Cut that I bought almost a year ago hoping that it would save on having to purchase so many expensive dies, yet I still have not set it up....it's the fear of learning it, I guess, which is just ridiculous. Still, practice should pay off eventually I hope and here's to keep on trying!😄

DANG, GIRL!! You are SOOOOOO talented!! I’m so very bloody envious of your computer skills!!! I’m struggling with getting pieces and parts and sentiments laid out TO SIZE, CUT OUT, and applied to my cards, but I’m definitely not “ready for prime time”!! BTW, when I STAMP an image on a thinner front card stock that I want to then color, I use a “liner” made of 32# / 120 g/m2 that has the inside sentiment. That usually hides the bleed through.
@Chrissieannie Жыл бұрын
I prefer to use a front panel, cut from the same kind of cardstock, which also frames the design and focuses the viewers eye on the main image. Just my way!😊

I have been wondering how to do this because I don't stamp, but want the advantage of not having to use dies for sentiments. One thing I noticed is you did not align the text in the boxes, or with each other. Since you seem to be computer savvy in Word, perhaps fool around in editing. Find alignment. I usually center text inside the box. Then I select all 3 boxes, align them with center. And then move all three while selected into position you want. Forgive me if I overstep!! The rest of what you showed I had not figured out so I am very, very happy. Cheers!!
@Chrissieannie2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you mean by aligning. With a word or phrase in a text box, I move them to exactly where I want them on the card. I'm glad you found some useful bits in the video.

I enjoyed your tutorial and learned a lot. I suppose if you were to add text inside of the card you created, you'd only have to reinsert the card stock and set up a placeholder for the sentiment? Do you have cliff notes with picture/text placements that you can share for the tent fold and other folded cards to complete an entire card? Thanks!

Thanks, I don't know what cliff notes are, sorry.

I've watched many of your tutorials, including using a computer to place and print images and sentiments. My problem is that I work on a MacBook and the suggestions don't transfer to the program that OS uses, i.e. Pages. I've tried to find something similar to Word, but I'm not having much luck short of buying a relatively expensive program. I've used PhotoShop Elements in the past but the computer with that program is no longer working. Again, PSE is a bit expensive so I hesitate to buy it again. I enjoy using digital images, just not having any luck finding a program to use. I'd like some suggestions of what else to try if you or anyone else can steer me in the right direction.
