How clever of you to try the butterfly with a black cardstock base! It made all the difference in how the luscious powders reacted and tied in with the rest of the card. Brilliant!

Your MM goes from strength to strength Chris. At first glance the card looks remarkable with not much hint of the layer upon layer, upon layer required to achieve the look. Your equanimity when not knowing what the outcome will be, is impressive. I lost count of the number of layers after about 16! If something doesn't quite look the way you had hoped, you push on, drawing on another element to create harmony. OH MY GOSH. What an Artist. Thank you.

Beautiful card 😊 Gel plates are awesome, I Love mine & use it a lot for backgrounds, there's so many types of mediums you can use on it. With your Oxide inks when you put them on the Gel plate you can put the water directly on it. When using Acrylic paints if you're doing multiple layers do one layer & let it dry before doing the next, when you're ready to pull the final print, put a layer of paint on it then your paper, but let the paint fully dry before pulling it. 😊 I'd suggest not to use your Gel plate in the Stamp Press like in this video as you might damage your Gel plate, I put my A4 Gel plate on a piece of acrylic plastic as it's sturdy, smooth & less likely to get damaged by any rough or sharp bits on my craft table, plus once the paper/ cardstock Is on it I can flip the plate to see underneath it. 😊 .

This is a plate specially made to use in a stamping platform as it is very thin. I have done a few videos on using a Gelli plate, using traditional methods for them. The kissing technique is one that I hope this particular plate will be realty useful for!

I need to check out your new tool, is it a stamping plate as in stamp and stencil alignment or grip plate or a thin gelli plate? If it is a stampe plate as in first instance they usually warn you never to use as gelli plate as they are too different, although similar looking items.
@Cre8tiveConnexionsbyLilliaКүн бұрын
Okies it is a thin media plate aka thin gelli plate. I think they are causing confusion with the name, but added one to my wishlist, great price and I like them for reflection stamping.

@msunshine137 I have a similar clear stamping mat that I use in my stamping platform to hold the card down instead of using a magnet. Of course, best laid plans are mucked when stray powders get on it and I still have to use the magnet! LOL Anyway, the mat helps hold round the edges of the card front with a stencil over top like a stamping wheel only way less expensive. They really are handy for that use! Thanks for the gilding lesson!! So pretty, and I wish I knew where in the States I could get a burnishing pad! None of the majors including Amazon know what I'm talking about except for burnishing discs for polishing metal. 🤨 I've a mind to take a tiny bit off the filter in my oxygen concentrator cause yours looks just like that! Enjoy watching you very much!👍Keep up the good work!

There are alternatives to the scoochy, although that is the best thing for burnishing that I have tried. I did try a dish sponge but that was a little scratchy, I hope your filter material will work. Just try it!😊
