@terrystevens5261 Correct. But the HAS1 model was RN and the RAF never had this model. The 6 bladed tail rotor was introduced in the mk2 and all the mk1s were retrofitted. The RAF version is a mk3 and all had 6 bladed tail rotors. This does not detract from the exceptional work on this model, but it is wrong.

I have flown 592 and this is a brilliant model. It just has one thing very different from the real one…… it’s too clean! This is like the day it came out of the factory - the morning because by the afternoon it would have been sooty. Well done great model

Sooty and oil streaking the sides and belly. If a helicopter isn’t leaking don’t fly in it because it’s out of oil. Ex HH-3E crew chief😊.

I have been flying rc models for around 18 years and that was one of the best I have ever seen. That was scale flying at its best. If we didnt see the ground just the air the person recording this could have said it was a real helicopter. I remember these helicopters when they were in active service flying from RAF Valley on anglesey. Great looking model and great flying

in British service, the Sea Kings were most likely Westland models, not Sikorsky. Westland was licensed to build Sea Kings for British service by Sikorsky, and other countries who were interested in the model

I think either moniker is correct: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westland_Sea_King Westland was allowed top build them using the Sikorsky design as a listed variant: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikorsky_SH-3_Sea_King . Although I think the RAF variant is labeled as the Westland given this section in the Wiki - "A dedicated search and rescue (SAR) version, the HAR3, was developed for the RAF Search and Rescue Force."

This is a wonderfully detaild model and well flown. The rotor engagement even sounds like a Seaking. Two obviously wrong items show that this is not the Westland version though, the tail rotor should be six bladed not five, and there is no support strut on the stabiliser on a Westland Seaking. Other than that, top marks for an exceptional model.

I used to work on the real Westland SeaKing HAR Mk3/3A Helicopters at Fleetlands in the UK and actually did some major refurbishment on XZ592 You’ve done a brilliant job though it’s shame you couldn’t make it a bit more authentic with more flapping angle in the main rotor blades in flight. Oh and you missed the ejector fan outlet ducts on the sand filter. I can’t remember their proper name but I haven’t touched one for 20 years

That level of detail in that model is stunning, he should be very proud of building that beauty, the noise it made as it spooled up was amazing just like a smaller version of the real helicopter , absolutely amazing build. Wow..cant believe how life like it sounds ,all that was missing from the model was a crew member dangling down on his rescue harness to save someone, maybe the model builder could get that detail in for next time, that would be amazing 👏.

Greetings Dear One A great vid of a very missed piece of eye candy true nostalgia brought back memories of younger years when used to see them flying into local hospital, many occasion see them landing speak with aircrews even got to look around a couple of times and a real treat to see them do full Military Power T/O which is nothing like what you're lead to believe, they don't take off vertical hover do checks and then vector for home, No! They take off like you see these multi copters that people wrongly call drones at insane angles of inclination to the deck. When you see an real Sea King HAS Mk3 literally lift off at around 65 - 70 degrees fore inclination at Military power (usually 120% over engines maximum at T/O.) And continue fore inclination almost looks close on to 90 degrees to deck as they climb out at this point they're rotor tips are around 20ft off the deck still climbing out and fore cyclic flying directly over head, you never forget how that feels! As they fly over you around 70ft above deck and the down wash is incredible is like that of a cyclone over 80mph, One has never seen any R/C Pilots mic true Military T/O with any R/C helo. "Blessed is the One who brings joy to another!" Thankyou for share Blessings Love and Light Namaste

Then it lifted off, and I just could not believe my eyes having seen the size of it. I could go on about this for days, but suffice it to say, this is the best R/C aircraft I've ever seen! Hands down, the most beautiful example of a model ever. THANK YOU, BTW I've sub'd because of this! It is what it is, perfect or flawed it just is.

Fantastic. On a side note, I watched a neighbor land one of his helicopters in his yard not 5 minutes ago. He has a helicopter flight, charter business. I love hearing the turbine wind-up to start. It reminds me of being in the military. We are on military aircraft flight paths and often have UH-60s, CH-47s, AH-64s as well as A-10s, F-15Es and other fast movers.
