Melo to the bulls makes way more sense. Imagine the starting line Pg: Rose (if healthy) Sg: Butler Sf: Carmelo Pf: Gibson C: Noah If Melo doesn't go to the bulls it's obvious he cares more about money than winnning.

If people actually think melo to the heat will happen they have no clue about the NBA whatsoever. If he leaves NY as expected he will be a bull. Houston is the only other team who has a shot but no one will take Lin and Asiks crazy contracts. Those teams are by far the front runners. Melo to Chicago has been rumored all year anyways.

Not likely, just another rumor. Also, think about it. Would Melo even make the Heat better? He'd take a lot of shots away from LeBron. As LeBron said in that All-star interview thing, there can only be 1 alpha dog.
@TheBearOfFun10 жыл бұрын
Exactly! The scoring would be terrible because now you have a huge ballhog on your team, like imagine if carmelo went to the spurs. He would fuck up there whole offense!

Lebron and carmelo would fit perfect together. As you can see lebron is very unselfish when it comes to scoring and melo would take the shots lebron wouldn't so that would be a huge load off lebron.

The league wouldn't allow it to happen. I remember David Stern didnt allow Chris Paul to sign with the Lakers because he felt that it was unfair. I thought it was a bad call (because of the Lakers performance the following year), but this would be total crap if Adam Silver allows Melo to go to the Heat with Lebron, Bosh, and Wade.

@Akonkonvictted10 жыл бұрын
Lebron can turn it on whenever he needs to in game 4 the 3rd quarter the heat had 21 points 19 of those points came from lebron on 7/7 shooting, his team was not playing defense he held the offensive load but if his team is not going to help him on defense, he cannot lead them to a win, he cannot play defense for all of them, offense he surely can play
@isaac-os7xq10 жыл бұрын
***** I think that's the problem though, it shouldn't always be about those bi-polar fans, if there's an opportunity to get a champion with other stars then you should take it.
@FableSoulja10 жыл бұрын
LeBron needs the most help to win championships? He single handedly brought the cavs to the finals and multiple playoff runs. Again, by himself. He just needed a little help to finally win it all. How about KD? He has Westbrook and a bunch of young talent to help him, yet he can't win. Kobe couldn't do it wouldn't Shaq or Fisher.

Bosh at 20.5 million? That's crazy! He's just a role player (at best) for the team. I never seen him score 30, lead the team, or carry the team on his back in crucial situations. He's a third option; therefore, he shouldn't be getting that much or anything near that pay grade. That's ridiculous!

bosh isnt that bad, hes arguably the most versatile big in the league. hes hit multiple clutch shots for the heat, mainly 3s. hes a 9 time all star, the all time leading scorer for the raptors. before he went to the heat he avg. 20 and 10 a night.of course hes not going to put up those numbers still, hes the 3rd option now. hes not suppose to carry the team, thats lebrons job. if hes a role player then hes the best role player in the league.

If Miami is really trying to improve, they need to go for Kevin Love. The dude brings in everything they'll need, unlike Melo. K.Love can rebound, is a great at scoring, and play defense on big men like Tim Duncan and the Pacers since he's 6'10". All Melo can do is score, but jacks up shots most of the time, which would hurt Miami.

@PaulPetax10 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I don't think Melo would fit because the lineup would be overwhelmed with too much star power. LeBron is a team player and Melo is purely a scoring machine. Chemistry is messed up, Talents are difficult to utilize to their full extent and it might end up like the Lakers last season. (IMO)

I dont think Melo's worried about the money now. Maybe in the past he was when joining the Knicks but now I believe he seriously wants to win. The thing I dont see him doing is going to a team where he isnt the man, or the go-to guy. I think Chicago is his best fit and thats where he'll end up. There a defensive minded team and their one missing piece is a scorer, plus they dont have a superstar (I dont count Rose cause he's hurt and most likely won't be the same player he once was). Plus the Bulls can offer him a good amount of money which is icing on the cake

As for Miami the best thing for them is if the big 3 are willin to take a pay cut, they should look for a 6th man who can lead a 2nd unit and create his own shot so they don't have to worry about losing a lead when the starters take a break. kinda like james harden was for OKC. they should also look for younger defenders tht they can put on the opposing teams best player/players so lebron n wade can focus more on offense. and they need a defensive big like varejao or asik to take pressure off bosh and play him as a stretch 4. and if they do tht they can continue to be a legit contender for years to come.

HeatFanForLife it would be kinda awkward doe after what lance did but yeah if they pickup lance, asik, draft someone who fits( if they get shabazz at 30th that would be a steal or a defender like you said) or they get kyle lowry to replace Mario. or bring in avery bradley maybe for defense. they dont have to do all of that of course but they are possible realistic options to improve their team. now that i think about it idk even know why im talking about this lol, im a bulls fan.

Ok, a combo of Melp, Lebron, Bosh, and Wade would never work. Lebron and Melo are both Alpha Dogs. They'll never co-exist. And they would never take pay cuts that large

Houdini7.62 Thing is, everyone is a beta to LeBron. You might not think so at first, but as the games go on, you become second fiddle to him no matter who you are. Besides, LeBron is a facilitator, so it's not like Melo won't get his touches.
@brandonlove401710 жыл бұрын
I think they could co exist essentially. LeBron knows that he is the better player and he will have to show his dominance to let Melo know that he's the leader of the team. Ray Allen might retire and Wade will take the 6th man spot and be that bench power role, and Bosh would probably play more of a role where he is trying to get rebounds and play more like a bigman. They'll probably stop with the small ball if they were going to sign Melo.
@woussess10 жыл бұрын
They already have a superteam, and now then want Melo. See, this is why people love to watch LeBron and the super Heat fail.
@ohhai1010 жыл бұрын
But how is taking millions less in money make Lebron more hateable? He's given up so much money, and so has Wade and Bosh so they could play together. This is the opposite in selfish. He wanted to win, and he's done that. How many players would give up that much, in their prime, just to win? It's human nature to be greedy.
@goat.137610 жыл бұрын

Melo isn't going to the Heat despite what it appears the new CBA introduces stuff like cap holders which doesn't go away unless: (this includes free agents) A.The player signs a new contract with the same team. When this happens, the team salary reflects the player's new salary rather than his cap hold. B. The player signs with a different team. As soon as this happens, the player becomes his new team's problem, and his salary no longer counts against his old team. C.The team renounces the player The Heat can renounce all the players but by renouncing a player, a team gives up its right to use their Bird rights (go over the cap for that certain player).

I disagree, as Bosh was a great player for the Raptors and K. Love being a really good player for the Timberwolves, his role would probably be undermined by LeBrons super stardom. Meaning he might become less aggressive and might become just like Bosh is today.

One of your more informative videos, Smoove. Very nice. I don't think Melo ends up in Miami. If he did, does he play the four? LeBron? Could be tons of trouble for the league though. Yet I feel like if they were to get rid of one of the big 3 to attain Melo, I think it would be Wade. He's been hurt a lot and he hasn't been himself. Who then takes the blame if they fail?
@UsedKeyboard10 жыл бұрын
Smoove, Melo doesn't care if it's a rivalry or not. It's not like he actually cares about any of the franchises in the first place.

Chris the reason Carmelo took the sign and trade deal with the Knicks for more money is because his mom told him that the family needed the money at the time because they were going through a difficult time financially. He had a lot of conferences with his mom and his agent and they all decided that at that time that was the best decision to do
@Hamzoloo10 жыл бұрын
You have to remember the advantages of being on a team like the Heat. Because outside of the USA, not many people watch the NBA. Obviously there's quite a few, but the majority don't. So if you were to ask them to name a team they would probably say the Lakers or the Heat. Because of this publicity there's more opportunities for sponsorships globally, more recognition, so joining the Heat for Melo would be a long term investment imo. Because even after he retires he's going to get a lot more opportunities around the world, where he can make the money that he missed out on + more

They are under contract for this season, but most of them are only signed for a year. Teams often do this with role players to stay flexible, besides being able to cut anyone they consider not-useful and sign new players.

If the bulls are smart, they amnesty Boozer. After that we make an attempt to sign a solid pg that can play well if Derrick Rose gets injured again, but can also back him up (hopefully the second one is the case). Our first priority should be getting Carmelo. If you have Rose, Melo, and Noah, this will be THE big 3 that will do more than the heat ever will with James, Wade, and Bosh.
@rayr1vera10 жыл бұрын
If Carmelo comes to Chicago, I'll be in basketball heaven! These last few years have been a bummer for the Bulls and hopefully we can gain that 2nd scorer to the team. Bulls are known widely for relying on defense and we all know Carmelo isn't a great defender. Hopefully he can fit into the system well just as all the other Spurs players fit under Poppovich's coaching.

I believe the reason for melo getting traded rather than signing in free agency was that he got guaranteed money sure but also that he didn't go into free agency during a lockout- the CBA expired that year and everybody was unsure about what would happen during the ensuing negotiations... That was also why the draft was so weak that year. There was so much confusion and so it makes sense that he wanted that guaranteed money. He still should've waited and signed in fa though
