After a 3 YEAR WAIT, My NEW 2024 C8 Corvette Z06 IS FINALLY HERE!!!

Back in November of 2020 I put a deposit down on a car that didn't even exist yet: The C8 Z06. Three years later, I finally spec'd and ordered it and it showed up this week! My 2024 Corvette Z06 in Riptide Blue Metallic! Let's go pick it up and check it out!

Looks similar to my Electron blue from my 02. I had red calipers,silver interior silver heritage stripes. Great choice,like the low wing. Tint the windows, black lug nuts & youre good. Happy for you.

Love the car, I work for Chevrolet and I believe the issue was fixed with these after they had the issue with the first year C8's but they had pores on the main bearing causing premature failure by the crankshaft literally pushing itself out of the motor, making a horrible noise and obviously a motor replacement so I would recommend being a little bit more gentle until the car fully gets broken in around that first oil change (5,000 mi) or so. They really are crazy machines and this one in particular I am in love with even seeing as many of them as I do. Best of luck to you and thank you for all the amazing content!

Hi Chris. You got me hooked on the red C6 Z06 series as I had one but went up to a C7, which is very similar to C8's in terms of how you can configure steering, dampers, and exhaust tone and dash. Your new C8 is set up with default settings for these dependent on what mode you're in, Tour, Sport, Track. Make it so your dash stays in Sport (my preference), your steering stays Mode dependant, and your exhaust (sound management) is set to Track mode. Then the only thing that changes when you flip thru the modes is steering/damper feel, but you are always loud, no matter what mode you are in! It takes weeks to master all the ways your car can be set up, but this is a good place to start. I know you'll enjoy your blue beast regardless. Also, be careful as if you are in Sport or Track mode, the stability control nannies take the day off (not completely), and you can find yourself sideways in a hurry. How do I know? But of course, you can also eliminate all traction and stability nannies if you want as well. Enjoy

This is without a doubt the best Corvette Chevy has ever built in my opinion. I'm dealing with Leach Wilson Chevy in Shelbyville IL. They are the only dealer who is willing to sell the car at MSRP. My salesman is Aaron but everyone there is just so awesome. I think everyone should call them and buy their cars through them. They are honest and friendly. Chevy get the cars in the hands of the honest dealers. I have dealt with multiple dealerships that have tried to sell me the cars at between 50K and 100K over list. Why Chevy is allowing this is hard to understand. They want to punish buyers who are selling the cars over list but allowing unscrupulous dealers to stiff buyers. Golf Mill in norther IL was the worst.

Chris: great intro for my Z06 TPW 2/4/24 after a 3+ year wait and while I wanted all Z07/CF interior constraints made me order 3LZ with CCB brakes, and basically your options with two-tone natural seats. I sold my 2015 Z07 as my ELB 2020 C8 (full-aero)is a vastly superior handling car. Upgraded Borla exhaust and brakes improve the "intro" C8 but the new Z06 accentuates this platform's full handling potential. I am an active race driver/instructor and will use the Z06 as a technique. I hope the 10% reduction in suspension settings (07 vs. 06 is insignificant). The 2015 C7 Z07 was too stiff and later GM softened later models.
