I actually like Allure. They have been featuring new product releases and brands I recognize. Ipsy Glam bag plus used to be my favorite subscription, but I’ve been having shipping problems and broken items for the past three months. Ipsy keeps selecting cheap dls brands such as Symbiosis and Able skin care for me. They constantly inflate value by claiming these cheap products are worth hundreds.

I agree with you on Glissybox. I saw a bunch of unboxings one month that looked great. They got great stuff in their box. So I signed up and when my box came it had 1 of the items I saw in the unboxings. The rest was of the box was crap I could buy at Walmart. Like a travel sized Batiste dry shampoo.

I haven’t had the problems with missing items or spoiled food in my Dinnerly box! It is all just thrown in there though, and totally agree about the portion sizes. Enough for me but not my boyfriend!

Yeeees I so agree with Single Swag! When it first started it was really good and the items in the box made sense and the book was actually an interesting (non problematic) book but they definitely lost the “theme”. And their jewelry items are HUGELY inflated in price

I personally love Kinder and have been getting for years. I found my favorite skin saver from Dirty Lamb. I don't want much makeup and that's why I love all the skincare I get from Kinder. They also have great customer service. I moved and they replaced my box sent to my old address whereas the Glossy box wouldn't do that and I lost two boxes. I cancelled Glossy box but what a pain in the ass it was so I agree with her on not bothering with them.

Medusa's Makeup is the best subscription box for such a low price that I have it delivered to a couple friends & their teenage daughters, too. As far as home food delivery services go, I subscribe to Tovala, & it's the best food subscription box out there!

I'm obsessed with my Tovala. You should definetly give it a try, & I don't usually hype anything up on social media.

Awe, we do Dinnerly and haven’t had nearly those issues! We did have one package of beef that had opened so we chucked it, and just yesterday one tomato was overripe, but those are not big things in my opinion. I like that they don’t send things I probably have already, and that the meals aren’t bagged. Seems like much less waste than HelloFresh.

Paradise Delivered also recycles SIngle Swag's older items, I was so disappointed getting the same things I didn't like to begin when I got them in the Single Swag. SIngle Swag also sends a jewelry item every month aimed at a 12 year old girl, not an adult woman.

Videos like these are super helpful and one reason why I love your channel. You keep it real. Your experience with Dinnerly sounds like my experience with Imperfect Foods. Awesome concept, but overpriced and I still had to supplement with other groceries. The meats were always wrapped with an ice pack at least, but the dairy type things often were left in another box with no cold pack. Everything was jammed into boxes. So your loose wilted broccoli would be in with the loose potatoes and an 8 pack of La Croix in cans. I would have to throw out 1/3 of the produce because of how badly it was beat up. Some weeks it would be packed in the box better with proper protection, other weeks, nope. I received items that I didn't order and then would also have items missing. They had a broad window of when they dropped off on the specific day. It was from 8 am to 9 pm and never consistently at the same time. I get that it was foods that were rejected, but don't give me it all in a heap that I then had to deal with at some point THAT day. Good thing I could change my schedule around so that was my day project! The plus was I was introduced to new brands that I wouldn't have heard about otherwise. Sorry for the long rant lol!

Very true. I did like when you could sometimes get a curated box if it was a good one. I got so pushed when the tiny little 3ml sample was only half filled and there was only enough for one or two uses out of it. I dropped it a year ago and they still email me trying to get me back. Ipsy too.

Glad I'm not the only one that finds the Allure box to be crap. I signed up for it one month bc I wanted one item in it and it was cheaper just to get the box than buy the item plus you get all the other stuff. The other stuff was crap btw. Then I looked at the spoilers they put out for the next month and they were crap so I cancelled. Every time I watch a video of an Allure unboxing I just think to myself, "People will pay $23 for that when you can get Boxy or Ipsy for $2 more (this is when they were still $25)". It's just not really that good AT ALL. Great video! I wish more people spilled tea like this.

I do like Allure but am dropping Single Swag because the thing I looked most forward to was the sweets item. Always had some funky (and not in a good way) piece of jewelry and lots of items other boxes had. I prepaid for Glossy Box so have a few months left for it. Got their Advent Calendar last year but am passing on it this year. At 67 anything that says Slut Box would not be my thing. Lol! Thanks for sharing. I get you had issue with Glossybox but the Last boxes i had was great. There is 3 full sizes and 2 travel size. Quality and value are there and for us Canadian it s free shipping and that is very rare. Maybe for you in the US you have more choice but for Canadian glossybox is not bad at all

Allure was an amazing box before they ruined it. It was the first subscription box I ever got and I swore I’d never cancel it. I got my first Ofra and Sunday Riley products in that box. It introduced me to Huda Beauty and KayAli Vanilla 28 which I can’t live without. It was the perfect box with a fantastic price and who took over in the company destroyed it. Everyone loved that box. Now, it’s boring and over priced. The products also got worse and I swear we got more expensive and full size products before the price increase. So sad.

My experience with Medusa's Makeup was actually not very good at all. I got the box for Canada and they charged me for 2 months off the bat which I didn't want, so it was a total of like $80 CAD. When I got the first box I was SO disappointed. Second box was even more disappointing. Customer service was very rude. :(

I get a K Beauty sub box ($50 for bi-monthly) from Pink Seoul. You can ask for sensitive skin products in your profile (as I did) and I have yet to get anything that irritates my skin. I have also gotten other items, like cute socks and cute pink face masks (disposable, not cloth, and very nice; I have re-ordered the masks). I wish it was monthly though. But it breaks down to a little bit more than Glossybox, and you get legit better products almost all of them are full size.

Allure without customization is a missed opportunity in my opinion. I always remember the target audience of Allure to be Afro-American ladies..which is great because a lot of beauty is created for Caucasian people. So if you can, at least, say what skin color you have..maybe even what hair texture..than this could be such an amazing inclusive subscription box.
