Christ Be All (Live) Music Video

Before Jesus went to the cross, he prayed that His church would be one (John 17). We desire to write songs that advance this mission. By pulling from the rich heritage of Christian hymnody and integrating the culturally-sensitive church songs of today, we hope to make much of Jesus’ unifying mission through music that equips the church for worship across generations. Whether a church accents a past generation or a current one -- whether the label is formal or informal -- Jesus has not forsaken any in his church. These songs aim to celebrate that unifying gospel message. Every story and generation matters, because each represents unique ways in which God is displaying his glory through his Body and Spirit. We hope these songs point you to Jesus, help you understand and commune with Him often, and offer opportunities for you to stand beside your brothers and sisters of all ages and backgrounds in joyful, united praise.

The hardest part of this song to really declare honestly is the bridge: "Bring me low and my heart lower still...that Your grace my pride relieves" As Christians, we might sing and pray to God to glorify Himself through us, but oftentimes this becomes a shorthand request for God to "glorify me". Far too frequently, we expect that God will magnify our strenghts, talents and success, so that we can impress other people, and then "credit" God for all that we've achieved. And yet, I think, God's glory shines most brightly not from the praise/worship of people who have much to show off, but from the praise/worship of those who have nothing else to lose. 'But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.' (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Since I was introduced to this song 2 weeks ago, I can't get it out of my head. I need that daily reminder to put God on the throne of my heart daily. Thank you for this beautiful reminder. Also, while driving my 8 year old granddaughter, I started singing this but couldn't remember the words. She picked up right where I left off and kept singing. So sweet!

This has become my second favorite song... It moved up the chart so so fast from the very first time I heard it... The first is similar to it sung by City Alight - Christ is mine forevermore... @@graceworshipmusic thanks, will check that out. That's a really great book, he repeatedly references William Law if I recall correctly. Andrew Murray did another similar book entitled, "Freedom form a self-centred life - death to self", where he further expounds on one of William Laws dialogues. Of all the books I've ever read that one sits as No1. Hens teeth though getting a copy of it. Thanks again.
