Good word Bro or Sis! i am actually a worship leader and the only reason i mention that is because i really do indentify with what you are saying. It truly is about us humbling ourselves in shear adoration of Him alone. it does help when it is pleasant sounding ( ha ha ) but shouldnt be a matter of comparison from one to another. God spoke to me one time. He said when you receive the praises of men, you leave no room for my Glory. Worship should be ONLY about him and what he has done for us.

I agree, that God judges the heart. But, as it was put in another comment, some songs are not originally written as worship songs. Take for instance, John Mark McMillan's "How He Loves." He out and says this was not a worship song, and was never intended as such. I do have a problem with Crowder changing the lyrics, to make it okay and more suitable for audiences, to feel more comfortable with what they are singing.
