Please pray for me and my dad we were evicted on November 14,2024 my dad is 92 years old we have been staying in a hotel all we want is a is a place to call home my dad took a reversed mortgage a few years back, so that’s why we got evicted everybody’s telling me to put him in a nursing home but I will not do that. He’s was in that house for 75 years. He still asking to go back so please pray for us that we can find a place to call home. Thank you for praying for us. I watch you all the time

As followers of Christ, it’s important for us to worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24), and when we look deeper into the origins of Christmas, it becomes clear that many of its traditions have pagan roots, which can be concerning when it comes to honoring God fully. The date of December 25th, for instance, was originally associated with pagan festivals like Saturnalia and the celebration of Sol Invictus, the ‘Unconquered Sun,’ which honored Roman gods. These festivals were filled with feasting, gift-giving, and decorations-customs that have carried over into Christmas today. Early church leaders adopted this date in an attempt to replace these festivals with the celebration of Christ’s birth, even though the Bible doesn’t command us to observe Jesus’ birth, nor does it specify the time of year. Furthermore, some of the symbols we associate with Christmas-like the decorated tree, Yule logs, and even mistletoe-come from ancient pagan traditions that were used to celebrate nature gods or fertility rituals. God specifically warns us against adopting the practices of other religions in worship (Deuteronomy 12:29-32; Jeremiah 10:2-4), calling us to remain set apart and pure in our devotion to Him. I share this out of a genuine desire to encourage us all to carefully consider how we honor God in our worship. For many believers, this means stepping away from holidays like Christmas that have these pagan connections and instead focusing on worshipping Christ in ways that align directly with Scripture. I deeply respect the different convictions of fellow believers and am grateful for your ministry, but I believe it’s important to have these discussions so we can continue seeking God’s truth together.
