A very dear friend is going through a very tough season right now. Her daughter and 2 year old granddaughter lived with her and one day a week or so ago the daughter up and left with the baby! They took nothing with them! Her “boyfriend” is likely behind all of this! My friend has no idea where they are and her daughter refuses to speak to her! Her daughter has never “mothered” her daughter alone. My dear friend cared for the babies every need! He is finding it difficult to find purpose now, his job is running havoc on his career, is recovering from covid, and recently diagnosed with diabetes. I need prayer for my dad who’s life is ebbing away. He’s in the VA in Tampa getting little help while the medical staff is only suggesting hospice. I need prayer for my son who’s my prodigal. He lives for the pleasures of the world. I need prayer for my brother who has a chest mass. My younger brother that has some type of possible cyst on his head that has been causing issues. I have a friend of mine that has a son dealing with seizures and his diagnosis appears to be one with little chance of a normal life. I have my own issues with anger and bitterness that most likely has resulted in stomach issues within for the last few months as I’ve been trying to help my parents with their health issues which apparently has been futile.

I am asking for prayer for myself and my family. I really feel the devil is testing my faith but I’m not going to give into him because there is no one greater than God and through him anything can come to pass. On Monday I threw my back out and have been in agonizing pain then Thursday my niece whom I have guardianship off has a severe panic attack while at school and hyperventilated. A senior with severe CPTSD and major depressive disorder has been in mental health treatment covered by her Colorado PERA retiree group health policy, and has had several traumatic things happen in her life in recent months. CO PERA changed providers from Anthem to United Health Care (actually United NO HEalthCare!) Jan. 1. She was assured if her providers accepted Medicare, which hers did, the coverage would continue. However, she just learned United refuses to Medicare credential her PhD psychologist--who IS Medicare credentialed with all other insurance and Medicaid, because they don't think a psychologist is qualified to counsel PTSD and trauma, despite this psychologist's specialized training in that. No help from CO PERA, and United wrote her provider saying they consider a MSW a higher credential. This senior is now left owing several thousand dollars and no mental health coverage at a time when it is critically needed. She is on the brink of suicide. We pray, but there seem no answers. She--and her provider--are Christians, but just as God may choose not to heal cancer, He sometimes chooses not to heal brain changes caused by trauma and PTSD, and to work through Christian healthcare workers instead. We have no answers and she desperately needs help. You don't change mental health providers the way you might another specialty--not someone it has taken a long time to develop trust and rapport with. Don't even know what prayers to ask for, but something is needed from above. Please pray for us.
