Reports are that they are still pulling riders lost in some of the holes in the corners and other parts of the track!!!

It will come, it's only just got to be nice for trail building. It was a super dry Summer, no good for rebuilding trails...

@@ThePerfectLine I understand that but it was like this before summer lol

Agree! A dry summer is a poor excuse for lack of maintenance, this track isn't hand built single track where moisture is valued! It's wide machine built and hard packed the whole way down, from a trail builders point of view it's the easiest to maintain. "Dry" is not the word your looking for "Neglected" is more fitting! It's a shame considering the money spent on building it and then the reply when asked why they don't maintain these trails is "we don't have the money". CAP needs to stop talking like a bike park and start acting like a bike park! Name a well maintained trail in the bike park? I'll wait!

@@dailymeds1620 have you ever ridden Skyline Rotorua, Skyline Queenstown, ridden overseas? Like Whistler? They have plenty of bombed-out trails at peak season too. It's also a factor of the loess soil and well the trails in the open...the fire has a lot to answer for. Had a mint time riding Throw The Goat & Yoda yesterday, and GC, Name this trail today. It's mountain biking, I don't need asphalt corners to have fun. I'd be more critical if it was the start of the season. Airtearoa could do with a big smooth out on the other hand, but it really needs the trees back to be a sustainable fix.

@@dailymeds1620 well said, considering how much they charge compared to Rotorua is just silly. i see they are spending something on handle the jandel.. but its still out in the open, piss the money away. i assume they are hiring diggers for trail work? Why not fundraise for a digger that is then their own? i've seen many kids crash on this trail because of the crators. Are we going to mention how bad of condition summit connection is in? ITS A CONNECTING TRAIL JUST BUILD IT AS A CONNECTOR!!! its a shame, for most of summer we traveled to central for our mtb and only went to the local CAP twice in the last 12 months... just not worth it :(
