Come with me for a morning walk , today we are going to park in the easter outskirts of the city which is free to do all day, and then take a walk into the heart of the city. This is what it's like to live in the Christchurch and work in the City.
I hope you enjoy the short walk in, there's not too much going on this morning. We start up on Worcester Street and cross through a park onto Gloucester Street. We get to see the Rydges hotel and its restaurant Bloody Mary's. Then we push on through Latimer square onto Hereford and Manchester Streets. The Trams are about early which surprised me a bit. Most of the people were already at work it seems.

We sold our house in a " As is " state a couple years after the earthquake. Like many others, we were still on some sort of bullshit list to get it repaired after the earthquake. We ended up moving down South. It is nice to see Chur Chur on KZbin and how much it has changed. It has become a different city now. Since the city center was a total rebuild, I feel it is a shame they could not have moved it closer towards New Brighton. New Brighton has an amazing beach and could have been made into a very go to beachfront similar to Blackpool in the UK. Thanks for the video. Subscribed.

They are trying to build towards New B. They are building a pathway from the city direct to new Brighton through the red zone. It may take a few years

I used to rent a bedsit on 232 Worcester St in the 1990s, so it was a bit of a trip down memory lane seeing how much has changed and how much has stayed the same, my old address converted to a backpackers hostel, shortly after I left, and was still going after the earthquakes but, since covid, it has been demolished and a block of townhouses built in its place.

Yeah there is townhouses everywhere, I don’t hate it though, the more homes the better. Glad you watched it! I’ve got a good look at Hereford street recently! Might get Cashel soon
