Hello Dan and Mazzi, I love your work, as an American (California), I really enjoy your antics, and the tours. I wanted to comment on the coat of arms on the outside of the house. Under the coat of arms, those words are not Latin, they are French. They say, "God and my right". That phrase is the motto of the Manarch of the UK outside the Scottland. Just wanted to chime in......Keep up the great work!!!!!

The brick washing machine is an old copper boiler you filled it with water and lit a fire in the grate below which boiled your clothes. A great video Dan and Mazzy is great.

the houses on Silent Street.. here in America we call that building type "timber frame", in some parts of Europe, they fill the spaces between the timbers with straw and mud, or modern concrete..

Interesting bed warmer. Wonder if the sheets ever caught fire? Awesome place!

Amy Leigh with the shape of it it most likely goes under the sheets before they went to bed, the red hot coals go in the metal bucket and they probably had a lid to try prevent any falling out

That was really cool. Seeing all the old things, even the art. It made me really thankful for modern appliances tho. I just threw my wash in my front loader washer before I sat down to watch this. Man a livin', I wouldn't want to go back to that way of doing things. It looked like a good way to work yourself to death, or even get your fingers cut off in that crazy looking machine. I'd rather use an old washboard first, or beat my clothes on a rock. LOL Like you I like a bit of wood, but all that dark wood would have made me manic. It looked like the, "Dark hole of Calcutta", in there. Thanks a lot for sharing this. It is fascinating to see what some of these places have in their collections. The doll house's were adorable. I wonder if a child actually got to play with it? It doesn't look like it.

Ipswich Transport Museum is worth a look in Cobham Road. It’s fairly small but has lots of memorabilia from Ipswich which has a recent history of engineering firms. Everything from lawn mowers to working coaches and double deckers. Occasionally it is possible to get a ride on an old bus from the museum, into Ipswich and back again as part of the entrance fee. There is a little coffee shop in the museum. www.ipswichtransportmuseum.co.uk/
