Ceremony of Superlatives: Environmental Officer Fenia Kalachani christens the Mein Schiff 7 in the Kiel Fjord. At 10:35 PM, shortly after sunset, the spectacular christening show begins on the pool deck. A grand production of elaborately choreographed dance routines, led by dancer Chris Cross, culminates in a combination of a drone light show and fireworks.
400 drones write the name of the fleet's newest member in the evening sky, and the fireworks are visible from afar. Using an antique engine telegraph, godmother Fenia Kalachani gives the signal to smash the champagne bottle against the bow. The environmental officer on board the Mein Schiff fleet christens the ship on behalf of the crew, creating goosebump moments for both guests and crew.
