This movie was WAY ahead of its time. My personal favorite!

I prefer the original end ... So that the spectator doesn't know at all if it's game or reallity... during all the movie ...

Awesome! Saw this again tonight, such a good film, still stands up. It's aged well, like a fine wine.

No it's a PDA (personal digital assistant). They were all the rage in the mid to late 90's A smartphone is basically a PDA from which you can make calls.

This ending isn't as good as the one in the theatrical release. It's clunky. The fractured dialogue doesn't build suspense. And in the scene before, we saw Yevgeny and Merl get obliterated. Without the blinking. Nice to see Cronenberg looked at other perspectives tho.

The difference is that they intended to kill Yevgeny, while, at best, confusion and disassociation drove them to just shoot the guy for a (considering the circumstances,) innocuous question. This one, random act of senseless violence really drives home the point that even the people who knowingly enter a game like TransCendenZ with the intent of figuring out if it was destrucive, would also themselves would be destroyed by it. I'm not saying it's a better ending, but it's also a very good, very meaningful ending.

@@MemoryRetrieval Mandela effect I guess. I remember them looking at each other at least..not sure about them getting shot. Just rewatched it and they didn't look at each other before it ends. CERN is messing everything up.

Better than original ending.

I don't think so. The original ending leave them uncertain of what is real at that point, not sure of what they're doing, lost after jumping in and out from all those layers of virtual realities and that feeling of psychosis, which is what the whole movie is all about.
