Regardless of her headpiece coming down I hope that, at the end of the day, Nia was proud of herself. She went out there, did what she was given, she remembered the dance, and she looked stunning doing it. That costume was my favorite of hers, outside of her 'Bye Felicia' solo costume (which she won in, making me love it even more, I was so proud of her!! 😍😍). Nia is an amazing dancer and person. Wish Abby woulda had more faith in her, honestly.

Yea out of all the moms Christi was the only one to ever stick up for Nia the way Holly did all the girls. I've worn all types of headwraps and that tiny piece of fabric she tucked wouldn't have caused the entire thing to slide back like that. If anything, Melissa could've sewed it too loose when she was helping Holly or didn't knot the end of the stitch bcuz Nia said she thought it wasn't sewn enough.

honestly, nia was such a powerful dancer. if she were given more opportunities and if they worked with her style and technique more, she could’ve been one of the best dancers on the team. only reason she was never seen as a good dancer, is because she rarely got choreography that complimented her style. she always the same types of dances.

Unfortunately, Nia did not get more of black historical dances, jazz, and contemporary dances! Abby could have done more for her as a dancer, and we have to take into account that Nia is a lefty, and had to work harder on dances, especially the group dances

The most heartbreaking thing about ALL of this falls on Abby. Nia ultimately was distraught over the fact, and I quote, it was "my only chance to do well." Nia knows and is aware of how little attention Abby gives to her as a dancer. Solos are few and far between. What she does get never highlights her strengths as a dancer. They only highlight her skin color and ethnicity. Praise on the pyramid is rare. She new this was the first, and probably only time Abby was ever gunna give her the time of day she deserved as a dancer, so its very tragic that something as trivial as a headpiece malfunction (which happened at the END of the dance and didn't even fall off) was enough to derail her confidence and ability to take pride in her magnificent performance. Abby truly wasted nia's time and talent
