Have you thought about sponsorships? The ad would essentially be you talking about whatever the thing may be...maybe in the beginning or end of your video, but then gives you the power to choose what ads you support on your channel.

I recommend that you enable ads on your channel, Christi. I don't know if you work another job or have a stable income, but it's a plus to have a side income so that you can save and provide for your kids' education and also for your health. You don't have to worry about what ads are coming into your channel. The ads that Google displays to a user are based on their advertisement ID, so don't worry that you are leading them to sin. please enable ads.

Absolutely. You are not responsible for the ads that run if someone clicks your video, the next video they click to will have the same ads anyway, same net result. Noone thinks the content of a KZbin ad is related to your video content, or is you promoting it You're just denying yourself an income source.

I would love to see a camera coming video, like not just coming in front of the camera but where the comb brushes over the top of the camera lens and you can hear the comb on the ridges of the camera- the most realistic type of camera brushing imo! MinxlauraASMR does this but I think it's such an underused trigger!

we have different lifestyles- i describe my religion as pagan; i have an altar in my house dedicated to loved ones who’ve passed away, i pray with runes and commit offerings to the earth (paganism has many sects- i worship the universe in general if you will- i trust the universe’s ability to guide me and shape me the same way you do with God i imagine) and i know that from a religious standpoint, you and i may differ- you may even actively disagree with a few of my practises ( though im sure we have more in common than not) but i wanted to say that i’m always drawn to this channel- it gives me a sense of peace no other channel can- i like hearing different views and perspectives and although i personally don’t believe in one almighty God in the same sense as you, i do believe in an almighty force that deserves respect and love and praise- i like that we can relate through that- and i thank your channel for being an open space for people to come together. I'm a bit surprised you didn't get the whole "you need to convert and repent and jesus is the only truth and you are going to hell and paganism is demonic and I will pray for you"-comments already 😅. Hello!^^ also I'm surprised to meet a pagan on such a conservative christian channel. I started my spiritual journey as a pagan as well, described myself as a eclectic wiccan witch and owned a lot of books. But somehow that wasn't enough for me. I missed a specific connection, something more loving and tried out christianity. But then I missed the nature spirituality and bumped from one thing to the other for like 2 years. I stopped at celtic christianity and mystic christianity. Luckily I am from Germany and we have popular mystics like Hildegard von Bingen^^ this path connects Nature spirituality and christianity perfectly and leaves out the fundamentalistic interpretations that don't really fit into Jesus teachings. Sorry for talking so much but it's so nice to meet someone you feel more comfortable to talk to when you feel like the community doesn't accept you 😅💜 god bless you or blessed be as you would maybe say ✌🏼 Edit: If you like this channel you may also like the Healing Word ASMR, it's similar

Hi Christi! Thank you for your intentional decision surrounding the ads! It makes complete sense and definitely was Spirit led! The bees wax paper needs to be “warmed” up. You can do this in multiple ways. You can activate the sheets by crumpling them and folding/unfolding them (this also makes them a little less likely to have that sticky film). Or you can put them in warm water for a few seconds to make sure that they aren’t as stiff. Hope that helps ❤

For the wax paper, I know you need to “activate the beeswax” by scrunching it together and apart a few times to make it warm and sticky. This might be why you aren’t getting the sounds you want.

Oh I know why the beeswax wrap sounds a little different than normal. Try fully wrapping the mic. Like you’re molding the cloth to the mic like it’s a food. I hope that helps. Try it and see what you think! I loved the pressing on it so you could hear the tackiness of the beeswax.

That's too bad about the ads at the beginning of videos.. I don't mind them. They're annoying and I'd love premium, but I just ignore them and I'm never shown anything blatantly sinful. It is seriously too much responsibility to put on your own shoulders Christi. I don't like that your friends have guilted you over it because you do deserve to be paid. I can't afford to pay for patron as most probably aren't. I'm glad God will provide for you regardless, but I just think it's too much misplaced guilt and blame on yourself.

I get where she is coming from. The Bible says avoid the appearance of evil. I get paid by a corporation that has opposite values from me. There is nothing I can do about that right now. In fact, there is hardly a place I could work and get paid that has the same values as me. But people know my beliefs loud and clear. So if I was her, maybe I would just include a disclaimer in every video or something that the ads do not represent my beliefs. But it's her prerogative. :)

I respect your decision to take the ads down but I respectfully think you and your friends are overreacting. KZbin still plays ads on videos if you turn off monetization. There were articles released about it. And besides that, you work way too hard on these videos to not make some money off of it. This type of stuff takes work. It's great you care about your audience but for your sake, I think you should do the ads and want to make sure that the reason you're doing this isn't just because of what some people may think of you.

Not only that but she can make sure certain types of ads aren't shown and there will be ads shown on videos anyway because KZbin just does that sometimes. I respect her choice I'm just making sure she isn't doing this to please viewers and that it's genuinely because she wants to do this.

Entitled to your opinion and not throwing drama on something for God. Just want to say the Lord can work through anyone, anything, any situation. A lot of people don't want to listen to things of the world ie swearing, gossip, acting, etc; it's comforting and refreshing to find a devout Christian who whispers scripture This can 100% be of God and Christian and Holy. Preachers put their sermons on KZbin everyday or broadcast the word or give testimony. Bible applications read the Word to you now. People are called to do different things to reach others everyday and this is one thing of many she was called to and was obedient about. She's reaching people everyday by doing this. She's also keeping people in their faith. She's also bringing new people by her faith. I think the Lord decided and I think that's good enough.
