I was in Paris for the Shows and we stopped at the Dior store for the first time and on the way out we saw them loading these dresses into a moving van. Cheers to the stylists and models who really upped the presentation. But yeh, it was pure beauty.

I might be in the minority, but the more I watch all the shows that John did, the more I really enjoy the latter part of his tenure, where he turned to the midcentury couture aesthetic. It's so beautiful. Also what I see is John pushed, not only silhouette wise, but he pushed those ateliers with regards to crafts, embroidery, he pushed the models, LOOK AT THE POSES STRIKED IN THOSE HEELS, he pushed, and ultimate beauty was achieved.

Seriously, what do they do with all of those odd accoutrements used in these various fashion shows: the extra accessories, the hats/headgear, shoes, jewelry, boas, belts, whatever??? Where does it all end up?? Where are they stored? Who takes them home? This was one of my all time favorite collections, period. STUNNING. BIG PROPS to Dior for using Zeppelin, woo hoo! 😀 HOW the models restrain themselves from moving to the music, or walking/posing in time to the music is beyond me...I'd HAVE to do some head banging (or at least a little head-bopping) down the aisle, LOL!

Firstly, Balenciaga has 100 year archive of fashion designs and patters of its own, it doesn't need to copy Galliano. Secondly, if you watch this video, Christian Dior was actually copying Cristobal Balenciaga, not the other way around.
