Christian Dior "TENDRE POISON" Fragrance Review.

The gone, but not forgotten missing edition from the famous "Poison" line of Dior perfumes. All incredible in their own right, but for some reason unknown to me, this one just didn't cut the mustard. It seems to have a massive fan base online though so...DIOR! What are you doing?????

This is one of the best women's fragrances of all time. I can remember this smell so clearly. It has a nice clean soapy vibe but it's so much more than that.

and you are right about the scent changing after it dries. as your body warms the fragrance back up, the tuberose becomes a little more prominent then. God! I miss this perfume.

Tendre Poison is my absolute favourite fragrance in the world. Nothing else compares. I only have about 25mls left, dwindling supply in the small green bottle that I use ever so rarely. I find it hard to describe this fragrance. It's full-on rose, disguised in a strong GREEN cloak with a powdery softness about it. It's somehow medicinal, but in the most delicious way. It's powerful. For me, using this perfume is almost a spiritual experience. It has an intoxicating effect. I can't describe my sadness and frustration at Dior discontinuing Tendre. I grieve for Tendre.

Erin Grace Ohhhh you have to cherish those last 25mls! Luckily though it doesn't need much of a spray to radiate beautifully though right? It is a very cool perfume. I still prefer Midnight though hehe.

YES. This one NEEDS to come back! I hate it when companies discontinue great perfumes. It's bad enough when they reformulate them, but ditching them altogether is a cardinal sin!!!😠

I am angry at Dior too!! What is it with all the mess with miss dior cherie! the original was fav and they reformulated it like...7 times in a couple of years totally butchering it! And now they have discontinued the best one from their exclusive line: Mitzah ... T_____T . So sad! I am still a hardcore fan of the original poison, even it's reformulations. I just love that scent. Not a big fan of the rest: hate/love relationship with hypnotic (depending on the day i can love it or hate it), i do like pure poison tho i find it quite odd...an the other two...meh..i didn't like them when i tried them but i will give them a second chance for the sake of this review =) (huge fan of tuberose here too!! yay!! love the scent of tuberoses *__*)

4:19 is the best rant ever and so true!!! Tendre Poison was so beautiful, I'm really glad it wasn't reformulated. I am so sad it's discontinued. Dior dropped the ball on this one.

Tendre Poison is my favourite perfume of all time, and I was lucky enough to win an Ebay auction of an authentic 30ml bottle of it....I will use it sparingly to make it last. I have bought some wonderful dupes though, but there is nothing like having the real thing.....Dior did a great disservice to us all by discontinuing this wonderful fragrance....

Probably my favorite perfume ever. I watch it like a treasure, only use it on really special occasions :) So sad that they don't make it any more :( And the Perfume is from 1994, Pure Poison i from '04 :)

I remember around 1997, when they first launched Hypnotic Poison with Milla Jovovich as the face of Hypnotic.. i hated the then Hypnotic because it was too sweet and triggered my sinus, vanilla and almond notes are never my favourities..the only exception is Shalimar Poison Tendre was the scent for me at the Christian Dior counter, but it was still a very grown-up ultra feminine perfume to me for my age then.... how NOSTALGIC❤️ Great review from you dear Thomas 🎼🎼

I agree that it smells very similar to Cabotine. I blind bought Cabotine because I love green florals, expecting it to be similar to No 19, etc. When I tried Cabotine, I couldn't pinpoint what it reminded me of at first, then it hit me: Poison (the original), in the cologne concentration. Tendre was a true flanker, in that you could smell the original in there.

+Agata Gębska I have 2 more TP suggestions, Rasasi Romance is VERY close to TP, and the Perfume Parlour makes an excellent dupe, which is beautiful and very long lasting.... Just a thought for you guys who are struggling to find it. Both of these perfumes are much nicer than Gres Cabotine.... Gres is very sharp to my nose, the other two are not.

If my memory serves me right, it had a nice "sour apple" scent in the beginning, which might have come from the combination of that spice you were describing along with the bergomot. Then it dries down with a soft freesia/tuberose combination. At least, on my skin anyways. Wore it throughout the 90's and I sure do miss it.

A BEAUTIFUL review of my fragrance!!!! You know how to paint the picture and bring it to life! This is the ONLY fragrance that understood ME! A lot of people say that Cabotine de Gres is similar. It is indeed similar, but definitely NOT the same! It is a pale comparison of Tendre Poison, which seems to lead with so many more layers that I'm willing to follow till the end!

That familiar smell is IMO what begins to emerge in the drydown....its dryer sheets.....think Downy dryer sheets and Bounce dryer sheets had a baby. Yet there is a warmth underneath that gives this stellar fragrance weight and a beautiful soul.

Hi. :) I have never persoanlyl tried this perfume but "Gres" by Cabotine always get's mentioned as being very similar to Poison Tendre. Of course it's not going to have to smoothness or be EXACT but on Fragrantica 117 people have voted that they share a similarity. Also, Gres is VERY affordable. Give it a go! :)

oooh im sooo happy i just bidded and won this in the second formula, the round bottle , a genuine 50 ml with 35/ 38 ml left for £40 ! yay blind buy allert , got it today, i love it , i dont mind soapy perfumes done right, this is exquisite ! its deffo softer than the mother poison , its name is bang on ! love it , hubby wiffed his nose a bit but my girl liked it so im happy ! cheers ouch for the review.

Your description doesn't sound like my PT. I think it is the most soft, feminine, clean sophisticated fragrance ever. I don't think og Poison even is in the same ballpark. Same ingredients, or not, the amount of ingredients creates something beautiful...I never thought of it as a floral... I still have half of a 3.4 oz bottle only because I stocked up at duty free. I savor it and the older it gets, it doesn't change the smell, but strengthens it... we all have our own fragrances we love and personal chemistry. how can someone review a smell the mixes with one body chemistry... it smells expensive and IF you can find it now, it's upwards of $500 per once...can't be all bad. I see a come back in it's future
