Recently there have been suggested parenting articles on facebook about parenting and I shared it with my husband and he said it sounds nice but didn't sound biblical so I have been praying and asking God to lead to me good Christian parenting content and I was led here! Through this video He is reminding me that He is the ultimate source of wisdom and He knows my daughter more than I do since He created her so who better to ask than God? This video was a blessing! A toddler this age is mostly exploring they know no fear or danger. Show her videos on stranger danger and safety. Don't use hitting use positive reinforcement by taking away whatever she likes like tv or computer times etc. They also need to be able to exert their independence at times which is healthy. These kids are also smart and with modeling and talking they will do better than if you just spank or hit them. My mom would just have to look at us and that from the 70s. Also read the kids bible books about disobedience. Three year old is a major learning period I have a teaching degree. Best time to teach reading and language at this time. Enjoy your babies 😊 also reward good behavior they want to please you.

We are to employ self control, patience, and grace towards others. It is so disappointing how prevalent spanking/hitting is within the Christian community. We expect respect, patience, grace, and gentleness in our adult relationships- but that goes out the window with children ? I don't get it. It creates adults with pent up aggression, low self-esteem, people- pleaser syndrome, and co dependent tendencies. It's also counter productive to guiding our children to a personal relationship with Christ. "Love & logic" by foster and cline is the way to go. Jesus provided an example of calm instruction/explanation, compassion, and grace. The idea of spanking/hitting when calm and out-of-love, is very creepy. When you're frustrated enough to want to hit a person, that is a normal human response and something that we learn to refrain from and use better methods of solving problems as adults. To try and claim that you're able to hit while in a calm and loving state, is really disgusting.

Indeed, "perfect love drives out fear" and how can we want to make our kids fear us through spanking as a punishment but claim to be leading kids in the instruction of the Lord? Fear and punishment are clearly not the way Christ would have us do this.

Your children are very lucky to have you and Danny as parents. You seek the Lord to do what is right through His conviction. I agree that page seems like trouble. There is a difference between spanking with correction and spanking with no explanation.

if you hit your child when they do something wrong or disobey you than you're essentially teaching them its okay for them to do the same when people in society whether that's at your job, in your relationships/friendships is doing something wrong....which is clearly not the case. Also god doesn't punish us or hit us when we do wrong so what makes us think that we can? Truly feel bad for anyone who feels different. God Bless

Just a heads up, God absolutely punishes us when we do wrong. Why do you think Adam and Eve were cast out of the garden of Eden when they sinned? There are consequences when we do something wrong because if there are not we would keep repeating the sinful behavior

I'm now receiving treatment for complex PTSD thanks to my mother wailing on me. Spanking teaches your child to be afraid of speaking up for themselves and afraid of their parents.

Im truly sorry. And maybe the way she did it was wrong. I do believe parent’s take emotions out on children and hit more than they should. We all need better training. Believe me I had a dad who was verbally emotionally abusing so i understand the effect wrong parenting can do. Sorry you dealt with that🙏🏼

Love this video so much I have a 9 month old and first time mom so I feel like I'm walking on eggshells with all motherhood things. This video couldn't be much clearer and heart felt. I know now that at the end of the day if I align myself to God he will let me lead his child to serve his purpose. Regardless of how different it might look or others opinions. This brought so much peace to my heart because as a mom I feel like is so easy to get overwhelmed or compare. Thank you for sharing

I'm not sure that's true; I thought KJV comes from the Latin Vulgate some 500-1,000 years after Israel's exile to Babylon and translating the Hebrew Bible to Greek. My understanding is that the closest current translations are NASB and ESV, though KJV is extremely helpful in the Ye and Thee language to know who and how many people are being spoken of or too.
